Hi all! It's been awhile since I've been on here but when it comes to jewelry I always know to turn to the most trusted source... Pricescope!!! And this time my question is about what to get for the next piece. My husband said he was a fan of doing diamond earrings since I don't have any nice earrings. My only concern/issue with earrings is... there are so many fakes out there. Plus - I change my earrings a ton depending on my outfit so I worry I wouldn't wear them as often as say a bracelet, necklace, or ring. Here is what I'm deciding between at this point. If you have other options/ideas I would LOVE to hear. I love chunkier rings. Price-wise 5k or under.

(Is Blue Nile quality for earrings/settings good?)

Orrrrr... any other ideas?!?! Thanks in advance for your help!!

A friend of mine did an interesting idea. She had a pair of halo surrounds made for a 6mm centre stud. They are made so the centre stud doesn't have to be a perfect exact 6mm. She then, over time, acquired all sorts of different centre studs including sapphire, amythest, ruby, Emerald and diamond. She mixs up wearing her studs with or without the diamond halos. She said one day she hopes to have every gem and colour available so no matter what she wears, her earrings match!

The VCA bracelet is beautiful! I would do the bracelet, simple diamond stud earrings or a solitaire pendant, classic and versatile.

Okay I love this idea!!! Is she able to switch them out on her own?? Or does she have to bring them in to a jeweler?

I think what you're referring to is a pair of diamond studs and earring jackets - gives you versatility.

These are earring jackets which will create a halo around a stud. Can be worn with or without the halo. Great accessory to have. Good luck, hope you find what you're looking for! :wavey:

Made a pair of bezel set peridot studs for a client of mine and she is super excited for rubies as her next gem center stones. earring stems and halos are threaded so one would simply need to unscrew the stud jackets to change out the cs. like mentioned above, can also be worn simply as studs.
VCA bracelet is nice though, magic pendant would be cool too.

I personally like the stackable rings. LOVE them on other people. For me I've found my fingers are just too short between the base and the knuckle to get the look I want. So be sure to try on a bunch of rings and try to stack them to see how it looks on you.

The earring jackets are a lovely idea and give you some sparkle no matter what the color of the center stone is. I think they are a great idea since you don't want plain diamond studs.

Enjoy your search!

Rather than just buying something to round out a jewelry collection, buy what you want or desire. I always thought that I needed diamond stud earrings-classic and timeless. I hardly wear them. At the time I really wanted a Cartier Tank watch; I wear a watch everyday. Wish I followed my passion and got the watch. I love the VCA bracelet-but you got to really want it to appreciate it. Re your fear of fake jewelry-it is everywhere. Nothing beats the real McCoy and good quality. Take your time and research what you want now and keep an eye out and an open mind for pieces that you may find and adore later.
