I don't own one, but I have seen a huge number of them because I have been looking for a cross for myself for quite a long time. I do not recall one website offhand. I have seen them in many places. I can take a look. Do you know that we have a thread for crosses? Here is a link to it in case you also want to pose your question there:

Why would you want to wear a cross sideways? Doesn't it look a little awkward? Is there some meaning to it?

i LOVE a sideways cross. I dont see them awkward at all. I do not like a strait up one, myself. I do believe it just is a different type of cross, doesnt have any more or less religious meaning.

Etsy seems to be full of them.

Just wondered. I didn't mean to sound critical. I've never seen them before -- I don't get out much, I guess. :D

Thanks everybody!

Maccers, I am going to check out Ross Simons! Thanks for the suggestion!

Niel, yes I think it is more of a style choice. I think a right side up cross is definitely more timeless and classic. For me this is more a fashion piece!

Jewelfreak, for me it is more of a fashion piece. I definitely prefer a right side up cross for a more timeless, classic look. For the sideways cross, it's not something I'm investing a ton of money in as I would with a classic cross. I've just seen the sideways cross look in a couple of magazines and on some celebrities and I thought it would be a fun look for the summer in yellow gold!

AGBF, thanks for the link! And yes, I love the cross thread! I may post there as well if I don't find anything!

Oh and here is a pic of some celebs wearing them! I think they're a fun twist on a classic!

I have a tiny little arrow in a similar style to the cross. It was a gift from Vale. It is super delicate and I love it. Tons of compliments. I actually don't take it off so it is durable too. I would see if they have the sideways cross. I have a friend with one. Going to ask her who the maker was. It is delicate too so pretty. The one posted above looks really bulky to me for some reason.

HI:

I saw this designers side crosses/pieces several years ago, and wish I had bought one then. Very stylish.

This site wouldn't work for me this morning, but I am glad that I tried again this evening. I think the crosses are gorgeous. They look like reproductions of jewelry from the Middle Ages!

AGBF, I love the ones on shimmer and stone! I am going to try an etsy seller first in faux gold to make sure I like the style, but if so I may buy one of the ones on that site down the road.

Hatha, Vale has some cute stuff! And their prices seem reasonable too!

Canuk-gal, looove that site! So edgy looking! Thanks for popping in!

So, I decided to order two from an etsy seller. She has been great to work with! I'll post pics when they come in! I got an 18" one centered and a 32" on off center.

I like the variety this vendor offers. I don't know if I would wear a sideways cross, but if I did, I think I would wear it off-center. I look forward to seeing your necklaces and, I hope, to seeing some shots of it on your neck! (I think rose gold would look lovely, too!)
