I think I have found a new favorite. This is a pink spinal and diamond parure that was oringally made for the Russian Princess Catherine (not Catherine the Great) in the early 1800''s. She was married to Peter Ivanovitch Bagration. The hair comb was made at the same time as the tiara. The necklace and earrings were made later. The whole parure was purchased by the Duke of Westminster for his wife in 1978.

This spinal and diamond parure is just great! I think I''ve got a picture of the Duchess of Wiesminster wearing the jewels. Unfortunately, I am not in Sofia, I''m using my dad''s notebook. As soon as I return to Sofia I will try to find it and then post it.

As I know the duchess's eng. ring had a large emerald. Do you know if this is it?

The Duke & the duchess of Windsor had a lot of dogs most of them pugs. May be this has inspired this brooch/pin.

Hello Everyone!
i have been wanting to figure this whole forum thing so i could join and tell you all how much i love this thread! lovely photos of some amazing jewels! i thought perhaps i would post a beautiful Royal Jewel myself..a Royal Jewel from the time of Ancient Egypt! the birthplace of magnificent royal jewels! i just think that the Royals of Ancient Egypt were so blessed to have such wonderful royal jewels..and this one, the pectoral of Princess Sithathoriunet, daughter of King Senworset II of the 12th Dynasty of Egypt, well, it''s one of my absolute favs! i actually love it so much i had it commissioned in egypt and i now have one myself..an exact replica! i must admit, i adore Royal jewels...from any ERA!
