Holiday furbabies-please post yours!

I stole this pic from my son's facebook page. He somehow got both Maxx and Abby to sit still together. I love my Abby girl. I love Maxx too but he is much crankier than Abby. He has serious issues with raw hide sticks. We call them taquitos, and the dog can't handle his taquitos.
They turn him into a crazy tasmanian devil. Don't know why that is important, it just came to mind.

here is a couple of mine, both taking with my crappy camera phone, 1st up is our kitty, Socks, we have a small tree in our dining room and she loves laying under and batting at the ornaments...

and here is our son's Dog Josie, we are dog sitting her, she was sick at the time this picture was taken...she got into a half of bag of Dark Dove chocolate...freaked us all out, she was quite sick for a couple of days, we took her to the vet as well as I know that chocolate is lethal to dogs but she is going to be fine

Jewelfreak, I love Buck! He looks like such a sweetie! Charlie too, at first I thought they were the same dog! Meat loaf is a gorgeous kitty!

Enerchi, your babies are so cute! Is the curly haired one and Aridale?

I love how kitties love to sit under the tree.

We had trouble with Abby stealing ornaments off the tree at first, but after a couple weeks of stern "no's" she left them alone. This was her first christmas.(awww...)

Good one, Luv2sparkle - yes, he is an Airedale. The best dog ... EVER!... he is so even tempered, puts up with all that rambunctious lab has to throw at him ( ), tolerates any situation... he's such a great dog. Everyone loves him for that

He's 9 and the lab is 5.

How exciting to have a 'first/puppy' christmas! Yes, I imagine in that case, all the tree bobbles would be VERY enticing!

I love Ariedale's! When I was growing up my uncle and aunt had two! They were the best dogs!

I have never seen one with a coat that lovely light color!

They are great dogs, for sure! He's irreplaceable. I don't think I could get another Airedale... when he crosses the rainbow bridge. No one could live up to him

but... not there yet! He is 9 and I find as his coat gets longer, he looks like a teddy bear, then when we have him groomed, his colouring is much more intense. Unfortunately, as he ages, he doesn't go back to butterscotch/tan anymore. He's more 'beige' and black. (plus the light from the window reflecting the mounds of snow outside, may be making the 2 of them much lighter than normal)

Did your aunt's dogs have lumps on them? He's developing a few more as time goes on - all checked by the vet and all just benign cysts, but they crop up everywhere and I was just curious. I'll try and find a darker photo of him.... (can you tell I like him???) lol

That is funny that you mention that. I wouldn't have thought about it. The dogs were mother/son and the mom Terri, died of cancer.
She did have lumps all over her abdomen. I am not sure what happened to Jack. It was right at the time I was getting married and I don't think I paid that much attention.

Originally, I think they got them because they weren't dogs that aggravated allergies, which I had quite a few back then. I love their faces, except after a drink in the water bowl! I see one and I just want to love all over it!

They *DO* have great faces! and I love when their ears are perked up and they cock their heads sideways and give you that "HUH?" look!!! So funny!!

Happy to post a whack of photos of my baby!!! BUt don't want to overload or hijack the thread! He's so cute... oh stop it! Now I'm going to have to wrestle with him and just love him to bits.... hate that....

Okay so this doesnt really count as "holiday" but it does in my mind because the three of them are only together on holidays...


The left is my Liberty, she is the mother of the dogs in the middle (my Justice) and on the right (my SO's parents' dog Indy). My SO's dad is a bit of a photog and loves getting pics of the three of them together.

I LOVE pet pictures! Everyone's pets are so cute. Gosh, I just want to pet and hug them all! Since it's only dogs and cats so far, I'm going to shake it up with a rabbit.

These pictures were for the Christmas card a year ago (old, but SO festive)... we had posing difficulties, but FINALLY got Gwen to sit pretty for us. Only after she realized she couldn't escape from the wreath and jingle collar.





Here she is exploring the presents on Christmas Eve. She just finished shedding so you can see all the awkward shedding lines, and how the dark areas of her coat have changed (they do every time she sheds).
