if we could post videos or not? the best way to see gemstones is with a video. As the premier gemstone consumers forum it's an injustice to not be able to post videos of gemstones. A gemstone is faceted to show play of color, brillance, and sparkle. You just can't show that with still pictures. What are the exact reason we can't post videos for? Are we afraid people will try and slip ads or promote themselves in the videos? Remember the "trade participation on pricescope thread"? That brought up many things that the admin. was thinking of changing or allowing. Wasn't being able to post videos one of those ideas? What is the status on that? Thanks

We allow videos for educational purposes that are not on a personal website/video account and are not promotional with prior approval.

We have had people post videos, as recently as last week, that pretended to be educational but followed at the end with a sales pitch. It happens more than you would think. Posts and photos are far easier for us to be sure the intention is right.

We are still working on a way to integrate videos onto the forum without opening up a can of worms regarding personal security.
