My mum''s ring from Heart of Water..

Hey all,

some of you may remember I was in the works of having Sally create a ring to gift to my mum for her
50th b''day.
Well, for various reasons this ring took aaaggees to have completed (over 2months) - long story short, I''ve learned my lesson and I will just send everything to Sally straight off the bat in future to make perfect, lol..

So it''s a blue green tourmaline cut by Dan, 6.3mm, in Sally''s sterling lotus setting.
It''s a terribly stormy day here, but the sun did come out long enough for me to snap some pics.
Apologies about the repetitive nature of them though - I did have props, but they kept blowing away!


I''m really happy with the ring, it''s beautiful, Sally did another fantastic job. And I can''t wait to give
it to mum tomorrow!

And, true to form I still managed to take a ton of photos despite the weather, lol, so I hope you enjoy.

just a word about why I chose this ring for her -
my mum loves Thailand, is a yoga teacher and is into "all of that stuff" (ie. Buddhism etc)..
so I knew she would appreciate a lotus flower ring made in Thailand.
Plus, she already owns rings with blue sapphires and I know she likes them, and her Buddhist colour is green -
hence the choice of a blue green tourmaline.
I hope she appreciates the symbolism!

Hi AJ, I love that you did this for your mother, and I''m sure she will appreciate all the thought that you put into it. It''s even more special than just going out and buying a beautiful ring for her - you sourced the stone, and had it custom made. I never tire of seeing Sally''s lotus designs, so all your pics were perfect, especially on an early Saturday morning with my coffee. The thing that really jumped out at me from looking at your photos, is how amazing the polish is - her finishing work looks impeccable! I haven''t gotten any of her pieces yet, but someday....
