How to clean a Tanzanite

Hello,

i've read a lot of different thing about how to clean a Tanzanite.
My jeweller (who sell a lot of Tanzanite) told me that it support soft ultrasonic treatment. But i also read that it's not good in most of case.
I also read about dishwashing liquid or something for white gold...

So what can kind of product may i use to safely clean my Tanzanite ?

Hi Noctus,

Never ever use an untrasonic for Tanzanite. Use warm soapy water only and a very soft toothbrush.

For stones that soft I like a little dawn and a baby's toothbrush.

Steamer: Not safe
The best way to care for tanzanite is to clean it with warm, soapy water.
Acids: Attacked by hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids
Heat: Fuses under jeweler’s torch; sudden temperature changes may cause cracking.
