Hi Ladies!

I'm back from beautiful sunny maui

and am ready to inundate ya'll with pics. None of the professional pics are back yet of course, but we had so many people taking pics and sharing them with us I wonder if there was any moment of our wedding that wasn't captured by someone!! Anyway, are ya'll ready?

So as most of ya'll know, I'd been following the weather pretty closey up to our wedding since so much of it was going to be outside. THe night before...90% severe thunderstorms on our day

. I was sad, but resigned and determined to be happy no matter what. I woke up at 5 AM to what seemed to be a mini hurricane blowing through Houston. Windows shaking, power outages throughout areas of Houston. But I kept a smile on and went to meet my bridemaids to get our hair done for the first ceremony.

Congrats!

Just curious, are you the same ring size on right "ring" finger as your left ring finger? I''m almost a whole size bigger, and can''t wear it on my right hand. Any ladies out there encounter the same problem as me?

As we''re getting our hair done, the winds die down and the rain slows to a drizzle. There seemed to be hope that at least parts of the bhuddist ceremony could be done outside. Hotfoot it back to my parents house to change and be ready for the tea ceremony. As then-fiance and his family arrive to "receive and carry-away the bride" they have to line up and have a small procession to my parents door with gifts. It''s still raining as they line up so my broter is running around gatthering umbrellas to keep everyone as dry as possible

But miraculously as they are about to start the procession, it stops raining! Another mad dash by my brother to gather up all the umbrellas..lol

I''m of course peeking through my window watching this, as I''m supposed to be hidden away unitl my family officially accepts the gifts/offerings for my hand in marraige

. Whch of course they do and I am brought downstairs to meet my hubby

We ask my ancestors to bless our marrige, then serve tea to my family as they give their blessings and little red envelopes

.

We relax a bit and have a small breakfast reception to get us ready for the temple ceremony, which is much longer. My mom and aunts went through so much to make the breakfast foods...i love these little duck shaped jellies!

WE''re nervous and anxious to start as you can see the skies are still gray and threaening more rain. Finally, the temple is ready for us and we get to start.

as i'm getting my hair and makeup done...i look outside and lo and behold, the sun is out the skies are blue, everything is drying up and coooled down from the rain!!!!! from that point on nothing could bring me down

Hubby as he was getting teary-eyed saying our vows...which of course set me off and all my bridesmaids off and a few of the groomsmen even admitted to a few sniffles. of course at this point my nose is getting runny and i''m snuffling like mad, forgetting that there''s a mic recording all my unladylike snorts...lol...i wonder what we''ll sound like on video... Isn''t hubby handsome?!?!

and that''s it...at least until the pro pics are in...hehehe... sorry to post so many pics, i was just so happy that day i want to share it with everyone! i could not believe the sun came out literally 2 hours before our ceremony started. call me superstitious but i felt blessed and have been on cloud nine since. sometimes i just look at hubby and giggle cuz i''m so happy and can''t believe we''re finally married!!!

sluke -- my right hand is slightly bigger, so the rings fit tighter, but still fit

milly -- thanks so much! yes i am vietnamese...are you too? i love the cathedral veil too. i was going for a slightly spanish look since the morning stuff was so asian.

sunkist -- most of the pics are from two of my BMs husbands who love photography and were competing with each other to take photos! between the two of them, they gave me 1500 pics to look at during my honeymoon! i love my friends!!

san diego bride -- thanks! i know no one but the bride notices the details, but they really just made everything come together for me. i was really happy with how everything turned out. and yes...wedded bliss is reall cuz i'm in the midst of it right now!!
