Hi LC

An Idealscope image would be the next step if you can get one please. Do you have the diameter measurement, star and lower girdle facet percentages too please? These will be on the report.

can''t you just wave your magic wand or give the ol'' Magic EightBall a shake?

No.

Hi LC,

What cut grade has the GIA given the diamond? Also, what is the girdle width and does it have any fluorescence? This may help a bit if you're unable to get an IS report.

Based on info provided the girdle thickness will be about 1.0% (medium-stk). I say 'about' because GIA rounds PA and CA but it's still in the safe zone unless there are brillianteering issues - which won't show on a pre-2006 report.

less_confused: Is there a cut grade present? Also, what are the star & lower half numbers.

An ideal-scope or ASET image is desirable because most of the numbers are actually averages of several measurements. A diamond can have a promising HCA and/or promising numbers on a report - but if the cut consistency varies notably from the printed averages it can still have performance issues, which a reflector image will reveal.
