Your Latest Jewelry Purchases/Things You're Considering....

Ahhh yes!!! I love this. I had it saved in my phone for some time. I love the E-W orientation!! What chain did you end up choosing in the end? I’m planning on maybe eventually getting a 1.5 mm diamond cut cable chain in the same length at 16, but I’m quite liking this rope chain, albeit it’s much more substantial than what I normally gravitate towards. Plus, the price of gold. Here is a very bad neck shot, fleas had a day with me at work. BB1B75DD-5AAE-43CE-8D07-FBC4BD44ED6C.jpeg

I think that chain is perfect. I’m not sure what you would call the chain I chose, so maybe somebody will chime in? I know it was an Italian style, but it’s not rope or wheat, it’s more a softened box? It’s also 16 inches & just perfect for constant wear.

Yesterday I received this antique 22ct gold wedding ring dated 1886. Its’s such a lovely weight for the width.

IMG_5692.jpeg

And I have just bought this antique platinum eternity ring to stack with it, dated 1920, with old mine cuts & French hallmarks. It’s 2.8mm wide & the diamonds are loupe clean & a very high colour.

Ooh can't wait to see pics, on your finger!!!

I guess I needed a pick-me-up this morning because I woke up and decided to buy a ring I’ve been watching and coveting for about a year and a half.

It’s a gorgeous serpent ring in my size (!!!). I’ve been wanting a serpent ring forever, I love the symbolism. I love the way the serpent is carved and all the details. It has a 5mm garnet cab set in the head right now but I plan to replace that. It’s vintage, not antique, and it’s 9k gold, but that made it affordable. I can’t wait for it to arrive.

And a video:

I love this design!!! Glad you went for it <3

You have an excellent eye, @Pomelo!
It is velvety, and with that colour, swoon!
That is one of the reasons I bought it.
Yes, still considering the other two but afraid I will knock the stones off both.:mrgreen2:

Wow, @higanbanya, have fun in SF!!! So happy to see Milo with you.
What a fantastic buy - it has lots of presence and style.:appl::appl:
If you ever lose a seed pearl (touch wood), there are lots available in SG, at jewellers in Little India. Happy weekend!

Hoho thank you, Milo just makes me so happy!! Both the beverage and ring :P

That’s a huge relief to have an option for jewellers in Little India to fallback on if things go wrong!

Have a happy weekend toooo and thank you for posting about JeweLuxe, it must have been an amazing time there!!

I like the scale of this chain though the alternative you describe would also look great.

Love both of these, but especially the second! Where did you find that beauty?!

I have a weakness for serpentine jewelry - I love this!

If i can find any under $200 I’ll gladly get one. lol

Thank you! The diamond band is from Little Coterie on Etsy & Sara has been an absolute gem to deal with.

Oh I have seen that shop before! It's a great one :)

@AllAboardTheBlingTrain , haha! Hungry for … vegetables?
Top quality jadeite is really amazing!

Haha, thank you @mellowyellowgirl. I have pearl rings but I don’t wear them for that reason. Two of my friends had jewellery incidents this week - one had a jadeite piece fall off her ring and another chipped one of her stones. Shudder!
I don’t know why I didn’t get the moonstone earlier. I love it:love:
So this is what I bought for now. Took this “glamour shot’ in bright lighting.IMG_9194.jpeg

I shall visit the jadeite bracelet again soon!

Those are the two I couldn’t leave behind. Amazing blue sapphire. And love the pink and blues in the moonstone—unusual to me color combo.

Thank you, @Mrsz1ppy:mrgreen2:
You are a sapphire expert so I am glad you think the sapphire is amazing. The touch of velvet and the colour drew me in.
Yes, the moonstone is more unusual than I thought, and I love the size of it!

Waiting on this pre-loved sapphire and diamond eternity. I'm hoping the sapphires are of a good color and that the 3mm width won't be too wide to stack with my other bands.

I managed to score a 24 inch, 4mm, 18K solid link paperclip chain at spot. I’m still in shock.

The clasp is just a rectangular lobster, so I’m getting it replaced with a nicer one that can hold charms.

I like that I can clip it shorter (pictured on) for different looks.

Simply gorgeous on you!
Love that the length is so freely adjustable too. What a great find!

I’m just putting these pictures here so I don’t have to scroll through the six million screenshots in my camera roll

Future retirement setting for Flora…
Some day when I’m no longer wearing gloves 10 hours a day, I might reset Flora into an antique inspired Edwardian setting with delicate open filigree and lots of miligrain :kiss2:

This is it.
And you see all the melee along the shoulders and gallery?
PINK … that’s where my retirement gift will be to myself… pink diamond melee.

She’s arrived & she’s everything I hoped she’d be :kiss2:

French hallmarks, platinum, dated 1920, beautiful old mine cut diamonds that offer a subtle twinkle & lots of rainbows, loupe clean diamonds & colourless, with stunning but worn engraving on the sides. This ring was loved.

Thank you @lavenderdragonfly23 for helping me narrow down my search to this one & also confirming the name I had in mind: Amélié.

The omc are so beautiful and white… and that engraving work is so detailed even being 100+ years old! I absolutely love how this looks with your 22k band. Welcome home Amélié!

*These antique bead set eternities are beautiful and have stood the test of time. That said, I don’t think they are a candidate for the ultrasonic though, so hand clean with extra soft toothbrush. My antique oec beaded set eternity has lost two stones in my ultrasonic.. lucky I found them and she’s been repaired. It could just be my band though, lol!
