So nice - Happy Anniversary! The three stone is really gorgeous and the Cartier piece so pretty and versatile.

Awww, thanks @MissGotRocks !
The Cartier has become my everyday necklace. I never take it off.
I hope you are doing well!:wavey:

I have 2 things to add here.
For my birthday I found a vintage Cartier paper clip chain necklace that matches my charm bracelet. It’s just shy of 16”, and although these aren’t my pictures, it looks a whole lot better on this young neck.

And for my 30th wedding anniversary, I had an anniversary ring made. Three omc set in plt with a yellow gold shank.

IMG_9959.jpegIMG_9957.pngIMG_9956.jpeg

I love both of them, but wow - that ring is a knockout! You must do an SMTB!!!

I have chosen my Katlang Pink Topaz which is way over budget, however, it will be in Jeff W's signature Asscher/windmill cut, very clean, in the region of 3 to 4.8ct finished stone size.

DK :))

I cannot wait to see this!!!

Sometimes we have to let go of everything to realize what we truly loved. I’m so glad you are going back for your one gemstone ❤️

Hooo boy, just put layaway down on this stunner:
IMG_1944.jpeg

Victorian (circa 1800) lavaliere, 925 silver over 14k gold. 0.25 ctw of old mine cut diamonds, and a 2 ct color shift, unheated Ceylon sapphire.
Face up this is the largest cut gemstone piece I’ll have, despite only being 2 carats it looks about twice the size of my 4.3 carat malaya garnet.

Was it over budget? Yes. Do I care? No.

THAT SAPPHIRE!!! It is truly delicious ❤️

I am considering several; items. They are all so different and appealing!
First, this jadeite bracelet. The jadeite ovals are all superbly matched in colour and texture. My only worry is that I might lock them off when I press my wrist down on my computer or work desk.
IMG_9050.jpeg

Next, I considered this beautiful sunrise padparadscha — but I realised I really preferred a hot pink - like in the photo below.
IMG_9113.jpeg

This is the most beautiful blue in any sapphire I have seen. The stone is not large but the blue is amazing. It is unheated, from Mogok, Burma. The pink is also unheated, from Burma. They look good as a pair, don’t they?
IMG_9127.jpeg

Rainbow moonstone popped into my head when I read about the protests and then martial law in Madagascar. My instinct is to quickly buy it, just in case.

The jadeite bracelet is gorgeous, thanks for sharing! :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2:

It would be a statement piece for me and not an everyday piece.

The two Sapphires are nice and I would re-set them into a by-pass ring if they were mine.

DK :))

Thank you, @dk168. i had the same thought about the sapphires! :kiss2::kiss2:
The bracelet is so elegant and I love the rainbow.
They are all calling out to me.:love:

That jadeite! I’m not really a jade person but the bracelet is so perfect it literally made me hungry. Beautiful!

The jadeite hands down!!! That’s a stunning statement piece.

I thought I would like the padparadscha more but the bracelet blows it out of the water in this instance.

Is the moonstone inexpensive? Get it!!!

I’m crazy about pearl rings. I’d buy them all day if I could. Possibly my favourite kind of ring which is ridiculous as one hit and it’s a goner.

Snapped a quick pick of my new pear bezel set necklace. I don’t know how you guys manage to take great macro photos of diamonds but she has an open culet when you look at her under a loupe. The diamond measures 8.5x5.5 and 9.7x68 with the bezel. I’m mulling over if I want to keep the rope chain, but I am kinda liking how thick it is. Makes me not afraid to wear the necklace to work where I deal with animals all day.

You guys are the experts, but all I see is a sumptuous, vibrant green jelly candy!! That's incredible, my friend. And I love how you're wearing her on the pointer finger. Big congrats!!

@AllAboardTheBlingTrain , haha! Hungry for … vegetables?
Top quality jadeite is really amazing!

Haha, thank you @mellowyellowgirl. I have pearl rings but I don’t wear them for that reason. Two of my friends had jewellery incidents this week - one had a jadeite piece fall off her ring and another chipped one of her stones. Shudder!
I don’t know why I didn’t get the moonstone earlier. I love it:love:
So this is what I bought for now. Took this “glamour shot’ in bright lighting.IMG_9194.jpeg

I shall visit the jadeite bracelet again soon!

Gorgeous as always - tell us about the solitaire diamond please!

Wow the blue sapphire is beautiful, not just the colour but also the texture - is it velvety?

And that moonstone is like having a personal soap bubble, reminds me of the orient on the most lustrous akoya!

Are you considering just one of the jadeite bracelet or the 50ct large blue star sapphire? Which one brings you more joy?

Visited Lang Antiques and this Victorian bangle caught my eye.. am very tempted to purchase this but am a little worried about seed pearls! Does anyone know if antique seed pearls require any additional care or maintenance?

Wowee!

I love seed pearls and have some on my antique pendant. I did have one jeweler refuse to work on it (switch out the main stone) because he didn’t have a laser welder and he was concerned about damaging the seed pearls. So I guess it requires a more skilled jeweler to work in such pieces. Also I think the same care as regular pearls: avoid harsh chemicals, don’t slather in lotion. Avoid bashing them into things.

But I figured it would be easy enough to replace them if they were damaged. I bet there’s a lot of them floating around for repairs. Lang can probably do it.

Ooohh.. got it, thank you so much for the tips and confidence to purchase it!! Will take extra care of the seed pearls area, just couldn’t get it out of my mind

I’m no expert! I’m sure Lang would have the best advice.

Just today I was admiring some antique rings with seed pearls. I don’t know why but I find them so charming.

I purchased this ring guard to wear with my solitaire. Funny story (not so funny really ), I forced this on my finger about a week ago. Unfortunately, the beads inside my engagement ring would not allow me to get it off my finger. So I ordered a tool from Amazon and cut the rings off myself. Back from the jeweler today, sizing beads removed and back on my finger. I really love the look!

I guess I needed a pick-me-up this morning because I woke up and decided to buy a ring I’ve been watching and coveting for about a year and a half.

It’s a gorgeous serpent ring in my size (!!!). I’ve been wanting a serpent ring forever, I love the symbolism. I love the way the serpent is carved and all the details. It has a 5mm garnet cab set in the head right now but I plan to replace that. It’s vintage, not antique, and it’s 9k gold, but that made it affordable. I can’t wait for it to arrive.

Twinsies!! I did end up swapping this chain out for a shorter, much thicker one, which is very beautiful & durable. I never take it off.

You have an excellent eye, @Pomelo!
It is velvety, and with that colour, swoon!
That is one of the reasons I bought it.
Yes, still considering the other two but afraid I will knock the stones off both.:mrgreen2:

Wow, @higanbanya, have fun in SF!!! So happy to see Milo with you.
What a fantastic buy - it has lots of presence and style.:appl::appl:
If you ever lose a seed pearl (touch wood), there are lots available in SG, at jewellers in Little India. Happy weekend!

Ahhh yes!!! I love this. I had it saved in my phone for some time. I love the E-W orientation!! What chain did you end up choosing in the end? I’m planning on maybe eventually getting a 1.5 mm diamond cut cable chain in the same length at 16, but I’m quite liking this rope chain, albeit it’s much more substantial than what I normally gravitate towards. Plus, the price of gold. Here is a very bad neck shot, fleas had a day with me at work. BB1B75DD-5AAE-43CE-8D07-FBC4BD44ED6C.jpeg
