Absolutely true for me. Every big purchase causes me to lament about the diamond purchase I could have made with that money.

Three- you know you're a diamond addict when you dream about large ideal cut diamonds while you are sleeping. I cannot escape bling even in my dreams lol.

My immediate thought was the same as Susimoo's - that item costs $XXX$ --- that amount of money could get me an XXX diamond/ring/band/pendant/studs, etc! I seem to do a dollar to diamond translation in my head, when we look at expensive items!

I have to agree on the preference for jewelry over trips!!! The trip is over in a week and all you have is pictures. But the jewelry is there and tangible for years and years (or until upgraded! )

Yeah. I could have had a 5 ct OEC this year if I hadn't had my holidays. There is so much of the world to see, I'll never get through it all! I travelling and I'm already dreaming about the next trip....

Honestly, if money was no object, I'd have both... But with three children under ten, and a holiday diet of packing for five, laundry runs, family accom and self-catering, bling just makes more sense lol
