Yellow diamonds- need some help!

Hello all!

I had a few questions:

1. Any good recommendations on sites that sell yellow diamond rings?

3. what are some things to look for in searching for yellow diamonds, compared to colorless? seems like two different animals all together!

also:

- it seems Costco comes in at size 7, can these be sized down to a 4.5 without a spacer? and how much would that cost?

I would not try to size down a 7 to a 4.5. I would also want a GIA graded yellow diamond.

Here is the best selection I know of with yellow diamonds and yellow diamond rings. If they don't have a ring that will work for her size, they have loose yellow diamonds to choose from and then you can also choose the setting.

I'm far from being an expert but I reckon if you're going to spend that budget on a fancy coloured diamond you should do a LOT more research! I recently bought a fancy light yellow ie a colour level above the one you're looking at and it is quite pale (though I love it). Not sure how "yellow" a Y-Z will be?? Also check out Leibish- www.fancydiamonds.net- they have lots of loose stones, great pictures and pre-set jewellery to help you get your eye in, good luck!

I think that diamond has a cup underneath it to support the yellow color and make it appear more saturated. This is not a bad thing just something to be aware of. It means in certain lighting the color will fluctuate.
