Looking to pay around 500 but its open to change based on the setting options.

Perfect would be a setting like this, but open to any options. Thanks guys.

Niel, what is your ring size -- I'll keep my eyes peeled as I surf the 'net; plus, I'm going to an "antiques" show at the Jersey Shore during the Memorial Day weekend & there might be something suitable there for you, it's a very eclectic show.

P.S. Would you be adverse to a peg head? Far from the most graceful, but very practical 'cause they are so easy to swap out whenever you need/want to set a different size-shape of stone.

You're the best.

For this project I'd take a size six to a size 8.

I have a jeweler that will replace a head for me if I need it so I'm open to it. I prefer an integrated basket but beggers can't be choosers. :wavey:

My apologies, Niel, I neglected to let you know before now that I saw your post with the size range--thanks!

I'll do my best; you are always so helpful -- and often come up with truly amazing budget-conscious finds -- that I'd love to do for you the kind of favor you've done for others!

:wavey: Hi, Niel -- I didn't forget about you!
There was a dealer at the Jersey Shore show who had nice estate/pre-loved pieces (not costume jewelry), including 1 semi-mount & 1 garnet-diamond ring that I thought might work for you. BUT they were priced high, and despite my best hondling efforts, she wasn't willing to come down much. As she explained (she was very nice, and chatty), Memorial Day is the start of "the season" there; were we negotiating after Labor Day, she would be willing to be more flexible.

I zipped back down to the Shore again early Saturday AM to a dealers' collective she suggested, but didn't see anything that struck me as likely. Hope you've had better luck!

Well thank you so much for trying!
I'm in no real rush so I suppose that's OK that its "the season"
