I'm just putting out feelers just in case anyone as one to sell. Looking for a round well cut old cut or ideal cut MRB. I or higher for MRB, J or higher old cut. The price listed is if it's in a plain white metal solitaire. If its loose then we can discuss price. Looking for no less than 6mm. Thanks!

Hi Niel, I know you said round but I've got a princess / radiant so I thought I'd just put it out there. 1.04c I VS1 in a platinum mounting.....
Let me know if you're interested. Good luck with your search!!

Thanks jbk!

Its not for me, so I can't go too far outside her request of a round.

No worries - have fun with the search!

Darn, I have a gorgeous 1.09 OEC recently set in a simple 14K white gold cathedral setting, but it came back from GIA as S-T/VS1. I'm about to list it for $2800, which is well below your budget.

Oh pretty I'll run it buy her in case shes comfortable with that color!

Thanks! It is a chameleon of a stone, sometimes facing very white and sometimes showing the light yellow (like at sunset). It's beautifully cut, too. GIA # is 2161075439 I'll work on getting an LT listing up sometime tomorrow.

Niel, I found one on eBay that might work for you. I'll message it to you.

Higher colors in old cuts are very hard to find so you will have a greater selection with modern rb's. With that said I actually have an .85 carat F/SI1 old European cut diamond in pristine condition. It has always been too white and "perfect" of an old cut for me to truly love and it faces up a bit smaller as an .80 carat diamond. I posted a thread about it a few years ago on another forum. I was saving this for a ruby halo and diamond setting but if you are seriously interested let me know.

Oh wow that's beautiful. I know higher colored antiques are hard to find but if I hadn't said anything I'd never see that beauty!

Let me know what you're looking to get for it.
