Hi Everyone.

As some of you know, I recently remounted my original e-ring stone in the Ritani Endless Love setting with halo. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/new-ritani-endless-love.40600/

Anyway, I originally didn''t order the matching eternity band(s) because I wasn''t sure if I wanted them. However, I sort of feel like I should have a band, but at the same time, I like how my center stone looks *so* much bigger flying solo. Bill Pearlman told me that with just 1 band, the set will look lopsided, so I should definitely think about getting 2 -- one for each side. Unfortunately, I''m not sure if I like the look of 2 bands...mostly cuz I''ll lose that "pop" effect that I have currently.

I''ve been going back and forth in my mind...and my husband literally thinks I''m crazy...so I decided to throw it out on PS...see what you think... I''d love to hear your opinions! Please help~!

A) Leave it as is, no bands...
B) 1 band -- it won''t look lopsided
C) 2 bands -- for the symmetrical look

I like it with 1 band. I don''t see how it will look any different than any other wedding ring/engagement ring. My next choice would be to wear it alone because I think having 2 bands takes away from the delicate setting, but I am sure it will be gorgeous no matter what!!

~~I think you should go with either 2 bands, or none at all. However, if you like it as is, you should keep it without the band...or maybe get a band for your right hand. Have you tried on any bands yet?

A: no bands. Halo rings are great but I think wearers often run into that very problem - 1 band? 2 bands? none? I think that 2 bands would make it look more like one big cocktail ring than a wedding set. And you''d really lose the form and shape of that halo. 1 band might make it look off-balance somehow.

Halo rings are gorgeous and, like many 3-stone rings, are best and most striking when just standing on their own. Just my own 2 cents!

I would go and try them on (taking plenty of pictures to post here of course). Is there anywhere nearby you that sells them?

I also say no bands. I tried on the EL halo last week with and without bands. I liked the look of it by itself but I prefer a stand alone ring anyway. It is also not my style to stack rings so I definitely didn''t like the way 2 bands looked.

I'm curious how often Kayla stacks her Ritani rings - she's got both bands with her ering, doesn't she? I know she doesn't have an EL, but she does have a set of 3 rings, right?

I would at least get one band, and see how you like it. I think 2 bands would definitely take away from the impact that the EL design imparts to your center stone. I find that some days I want to wear both rings, some days I can only wear a wedding band, and some other days I like to wear my ering alone for that maximum halo pop look. I think if you get a band it will give you versatility, but you can start with one and see how you like it (or don't) before you consider getting 2!

Good idea to just try one band on to see how you like it. Like others have said, you could always wear the band on your right hand.

i suggest trying them on as well...

imo with any ring set that is eternity like that, having just one w-band makes it look ''lopsided''..i think that about mine too but i''m not really a 3 band girl. plus for me two rings is traditional. good luck!

Hi Everyone!

Yep, you guys are thinking all the same things I''m thinking... Why would it look any different from any other wedding set with 1 band...? With 2 bands, it would be symmetric, but I''d lose the delicate-look of the thin, micropave shank...the "pop" of the center stone...and maybe my hand will look stumpy...?!? But then maybe it just looks best as is... *sigh*

BTW, I found this site with some hand shots of the Ritani halo ring w/ no band, 1 band and 2 bands...
http://store.jrdunn.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=rt001r1694arpjrd

I do love Kayla''s 3-ring set, but looking at this anonymous woman''s handshots really doesn''t help with the decision-making process... Anymore thoughts?

Thanks for your guys'' help so far...

I say one band. I don''t see how it would look lopsided. You have you ering and matching wedding band. Just because it''s a halo doesn''t mean you have to have bands on either side of it?? But that''s my thought anyway. PS I have tried on my asscher RHR with my small SP band for fun and it looks great together. Not unbalanced at all.

Then is the site you listed above (also with anonymous handshots), or our opinions going to help you decide moreso than just trying the different combos on yourself? That seems the only true way to decide what works for you.

~~Can I change my mind?? LOL I say either one or none...the 2 bands look a little crowded...

your ER is sooo beautiful!

after looking at the pictures you provided....I was say either no WB, or only one WB.....I do not like the look of all 3 stacked.......too chunky and it takes all the delicacy away from your ring, IMO.

FG - You''re right...nothing is going to really help me decide like trying the different combos myself... Based on your guys'' opinions though, I''m definitely leaning towards 1 or none. I''m going to have to go to the local BB&B to try on the band. I honestly haven''t been back there since I originally went in to check out the setting itself.

Thanks everyone for your opinions... At least I''m pretty confident that 2 is not the way to go... I was already thinking that 2 wasn''t for me, but just needed confirmation about the lopsided / symmetry thing...

Thanks again.

Here''s joadma''s Ritani with two eternity bands.

I personally love the look!

I think two bands is too chunky as well- I''d go w/ one, or none if you prefer. I don''t think there is anything lopsided-looking about one band. It''s not symmetrical, of course, but most rings sets are not!

Another vote for one or no wedding bands with the halo ring.

I think one or none too. You could always get one and if you felt like you really needed the second one, order it later.

I think it looks very nice with one band. I like the ring by itself but I am a traditionalist I suppose - alone it looks like an ering - with a band it looks like you are married! I don''t like the two bands on each side of the ering - takes away from the delicate look IMHO.

My vote is for one-but would probably wear it on the right hand if I were you

Hi Cutey TT.

I have the same ring as you do. I''ve tried my ring with one band and with two bands. First of all, with one band, it didn''t look lopsided. It looks really nice. Great, in fact.

Myself? I''m going for two bands. I love my ring, but the band is almost too thin to me. I think the bands sandwiching in the e-ring feels a litttle more sturdy to me. {Could just be my own weirdness
2.gif
} Also, I love the blinginess of the two bands.

Whether you go with one or two bands, I''m sure you''ll be happy! Good luck!

MGR - I''m right there with you...the old-fashioned side of me: 1 ring = engaged, 2 rings = married. While I love the look of my e-ring solo, I''ve been having this nagging feeling that I need (at a minimum) the 2nd band to not look engaged. That''s what started this whole dilemma in the first place...
2.gif

Morticia - I was hoping you would chime in... When are you getting your bands? Can''t wait to see hand shots once you have them... I agree, 3 bands together will definitely be bling-y...and fun, because you can do the whole mix-and-match thing...wear 1 alone, just 2, or all 3...whatever you''re in the mood for that day.

I''ll let y''all know what I decide after I finally get to visit BB&B. Thanks again for all your help!

Here''s joadma''s Ritani with two eternity bands.

I personally love the look!
I love Joadma''s three stone Ritani. I don''t know if it was just the pics or not, but the only time I really realized that she had two other rings were not of the "head-on" shots ... I only noticed them from the side shots. She essentially has three halos going on, and the bands get a lil'' lost. Just my opinion of course. I do love the side view ... and I am sure she loves it too!
emlove.gif

In Cutey TT''s she has one halo ... so I would think the other band would be very pretty with it. I think one band would not make it looked loop-sided at all. And if you like how two bands look, I say go for it. Ultimately if your happy ... we are going to be happy for you!

Cutey TT ... please post some more pics of your beautiful ring ... I just love it!

Take care, and have a great day!

Speaking of stacks...

These guys are so tiny, one may not be too different from two!

Without a doubt - 1 band. It would look gorgeous and not lopsided at all. I think it would be perfect on your slim and elegant hand.

Wooo, I am having the exact same issue. I had my ring reset and had two bands made to go with it only to feel the same as you....er alone looks huge, with one band it looks lopsided and with two my er just blends in
7.gif
I have struggled with this since I bought the set. I wish I could give you better advice but I am still struggling.
7.gif
I love the er alone but everyone ask if I am engaged, with one band I fell like the set looks like it is missing something and with all three rings it is huge but my beautiful center stone is lost
7.gif
IMO Go for both bands and just rotate ;)

Cutey TT, I''m not quite sure when I''ll get the bands. I''m getting married in April 2007 (2 year engagement for us) so I''ll probably see how long it takes to order them, price them out at various vendors, etc. I will definitely post pictures of when I do get them. Plus, with the 2 band bling, it''s not TOO much, IMO. As you know, the bands are so thin, it''s a nice subtle sparkle. Little flashes. Some days, I won''t want to wear my e-ring, just a band, so I would like two.

Also, I''ve been meaning to try the place that Valerie just posted. The bands look similar to Ritani''s and are much less.

Personally, I am with the one band faction! I don''t think it looks lopsided at all, just like a traditional engagement ring + wedding ring set! Three is a little wide for my personal tastes, but I do looooove how they look on other people too. But I agree that the engagement ring pops more with just one. It doesn''t bother me in the slightest that it isn''t perfectly symmetrical!

I''m in the none camp--only because that''s what I did! I moved my halo engagement ring to my right hand and wear just an eternity band on my left as my wedding band.
