Would this be terribly rude?

My BF graduated 2-3 weeks ago. Our friend was there with us and took some pictures as BF''s mom did. Our friend framed a picture she took of us and gave it to us.
I like having a picture of us on that day but the picture is crooked. When it''s in the frame we are definitely leaning towards the left.

Would it be okay if I put a different picture of us from that day in the frame? I just hate seeing that it isn''t centered.

I don''t think it''s a big deal at all. They may not even notice.

I also doubt they would notice if you changed the picture.

I think that is so cute that your friend didn''t notice you guys were CROOKED hahaha It would drive me CRAZY! I couldn''t look at it. haha Change the picture...she probably wouldn''t realize it/notice it...I just would make sure not to throw away the picture she gave you...

Depends on how nit-picky she is, honestly - it''s the sort of thing *I* would probably notice, though I wouldn''t mind. Alternately, maybe you could get a mat for the frame that would allow you to realign the print, trimming the corners of the pic if necessary?

I would notice (although I wouldn''t have put a crooked picture in a frame--I''m too anal) but I wouldn''t care in the slightest.

Don''t worry about

ditto... I have noticed, but didn''t care, because it is now theirs to do what they want with the frame.

When I''ve given a frame as a gift, I''ll often put a photo in it just for a little giggle, like giving friends a frame for a wedding gift, I put a colour print of our wedding photo in it, but assured them it was just for the presentation, and not expected to stay in the frame.

Although we did give a friends small child a cute kiddy frame for a birthday present with a photo of us in it, and he refused to let his mother change it!

pinkstars -

have you asked her? that''s by far the easiest way of finding out. other people can only tell you what they''d do - not what she would do. it sounds like she was trying to give you a keepsake for a memory of a special day - not just a new picture frame for a gift. and - who knows? she might be proud of her photography skills. impossible to tell.

best ask her, i think. (i''d be with the poster who suggested you get a mat to re-center it - people can be VERY sensitive about their gifts)
