Hello everyone! To start off, I found pricescope not too long ago after purchasing an engagement ring from Kay Jeweler. I quickly returned that ring since I found out I could get much more bang for my buck if I put some time and research into what I wanted. My girlfriend isn't the type to buy anything online as she needs to see it in person before passing judgment on it. I convinced her to let me try to find something online and if she doesn't like it when it arrives we can return it and move forward from there (probably end up going to a Jeweler like Tiffany).
The specifications she gave me were ~ 1 carat, ideal cut, G color or better, and VS2 or better (eye clean) which is something she found to her likely when looking at Tiffany rings. I wasn't in any rush to buy a diamond as were planning on an August or September engagement. It is an AGS0, Whiteflash ACA, 0.97 carat (sweet spot for ~1 carat size) and was in my budget. I made the payment 2 weeks ago, but it won't arrive for another 2 weeks since I chose a setting as well. I know this diamond falls towards the low end of my girlfriend's specifications, but I would really appreciate your guys insight on how I did on this purchase to ease my mind for the next 2 weeks before she sees it in person.
