I''m a teacher in the southeast Michigan... And we''re on a snow day!!! I know it''s the last day before Christmas break anyways, but it''s fun none the less!! Anyone else getting snowed in? (We''re expecting about 10 inches!)
I''ll try to get some pics when it gets light outside!!

Still no snow here in Sofia. According to the weather channel there''ll be some snowing on 24 and 25 Dec. Certainly hope so! I don''t really like snow, at least not when I''m trying to get to work and fighting snow-drifts and all, but a snowless Christmas is, well not a real Christmas to me.

We''ve been out of school since last Friday (I''m a teacher in New England). We had a bad ice storm and power''s been out in many towns for a week. We probably would have had a snow day today if we didn''t already have the day off because of the ice storm. We''re supposed to get 5-10 inches of snow today, and it''s supposed to snow on Sunday into Monday also. I''m guessing that we won''t be returning to school until after Christmas vacation.

Yup, my children have a snow day too!! I love it because I feel like I don''t need to do anything, but they are bummed because they were supposed to have friends over this afternoon and probably won''t be able to now. I don''t think I have ever seen them upset when they''ve heard that they didn''t have to go to school!

It isn''t supposed to start till 11 am, but we should be getting near 10 inches too.

Tuckins, I am in SE Michigan too, and when I got my phone call this morning, I told my team leader how much I loved her.

I brought all of my stuff home last night, anticipating today's closing, so I can work on my grading and planning over break. I also prepped the kids yesterday with the Snow Day Rituals - flush three ice cubes, put a spoon under your pillow, wear your PJs inside out and backwards, etc. Looks like they followed through!

It would have been our last day before winter break anyway. I stocked up on baking supplies on my way home yesterday so today while I am snowed in, I can make tons of cookies and two pies for my man's birthday party this weekend. I'll take pictures later too!

LOL - Also in SE michigan... and I drove through the storm on 1-75 to go to a training session that had NOT been cancelled.

Enjoy your snow day ladies!

Ann Arbor here...

Called in to work because I''m scared of driving in the snow. I''m a wimp, yes.

I hope I''m not the only one who calls in!

Ah..that''s too bad, the ONLY day kids want to go to school! lol. Kids want to give their teachers gifts, and eat junk food all day!!
We''ve had about 3 snow days so far..we live about 3-4 hours from you (but across the border..in Canada). We''ve got Soooooo much snow, nobody knows where to put it. I never think to take pics..I just assume everyone is experiencing the same thing..but I guess not! Would love to see pics! Enjoy your snow day!!

I am in MD and there is NO snow here...NONE...not a speck!!!

My mom is a teacher in Flint - i''ve got my fingers crossed she has a snow day today too! Enjoy ladies! :)

My parents in west MI - Grand Haven, so right on the lake with lake effect snow - got 12 inches between 3 am and 8 am this morning and it''s still snowing!

Up here in MN it''s supposed to snow all weekend, but only a few inches total. That''s okay by me though since it''s been SO cold (below zero most days this week).

Take pics for us Tuckins!!!!

Wow, my husband drives all day for work, and he just came home! He said he got stuck a bunch of times, almost got in three accidents, and the rear defrost on his work car was totally ineffective! This is crazy! Good luck to all of you ladies who are in this storm''s path... Don''t go out if you don''t have to!!

Cross your fingers that I get out of this training early so I can get HOME!

My "Let it Snow" decal WORKS! We''ve had about eight inches here today. My sweetie even got sent home from work!

They cancelled for the kids in Buffalo too. However, my sister''s high school is a little on the "slow" side and made the kids all go to school, only to send them home 2 hours later. Of course, the rest of the schools used some brains and just cancelled from the start. They never seem to get it right

Great pictures Equestrienne!

We now have a white out in CT. I haven''t even sent my boys out to play yet because it''s snowing so hard!

I haven''t been home all day like this in such a long time so I decided to make chili, yum!!!

It was nice to just be able to stay in and relax too!

It''s still snowing here in New England. It began snowing a few hours ago, and it''s so pretty. It''s dark now, but I''ll try to take pictures tomorrow.

It's been snowing in CT since about 1, but no snow day for me. Work let us out early, as soon as it started to snow, but I stayed around for an hour to finish something. By that point, there were already several spin-outs on our little two-lane tree-lined highway. Nothing serious, I don't think. This highway is very old and has super short entrance ramps (think driveway length) and people always bump the person ahead of them thinking they are entering the highway, when they are just stopped. Sooooooo, they shut down the highway at the exit following my entrance. I was parked for three hours! So, my usual 25 minute commute was almost 4.5 hours!! And, I'm sick. I never get the flu, but I have a temperature. Cuddly warm in bed now though. I will take pictures of the snow in the a.m.

Hope all you snowed in PS'ers are safe at home!

Zoe - I heard about folks up in New Hampshire w/o power. Do you have any?

Wow, so glad to hear that nobody got hurt or in any accidents today! I had to help someone who got their car stuck right in front of our house... The car stalled out and we had to shovel it out, while a friend used his car to push it. People were stuck all over the place... I''m glad I have a good 4 wheel drive vehicle!
