I was lucky enough to have Winfield "Wink" Jones as my jeweler during my hunt for an engagement ring. In all reality, I am a novice (at best) when it comes to jewelry, particularly engagement rings. I had some idea of what style of cut I was looking for, but was otherwise really concerned about purchasing the wrong stone, setting, or the ring not possessing a "wow" factor. Wink took the time to walk me through the really important, and often undiscussed, aspects of a great diamond. I ended up purchasing a near flawless stone. I then moved to choosing a band and actually considered moving outside of my price range. He was strict about keeping me within my previously discussed price range. Not only was this an honest move on his part, but I still purchased the best ring I could ever hope for. I am very thankful that I didn''t end up at a big jewelry store, because I think that the stone I would have purchased would have been much lower quality and my money would have been focused on covering their overhead, instead of helping me buy the best product possible. Don''t ask me about how great a ring it is, ask my fiance... She''s the one who tells me daily, I repeat, daily, that she loves her ring. Thank Wink!!
