Will your e-ring "match" the rest of your jewelry wardrobe?

Style-wise? As in, delicate, bold, vintage-y, antique, etc.?

I think mine does...most of my jewelry is pretty simple and so is my ering. IndyLady have you made any decisions about yours...I know you were thinking about a pink diamond a while back

No, my jewelry wardrobe is pretty plain and classic. I don't buy cute trendy costume jewelry. My clothing wardrobe is pretty plain too. These days I wear shorts and t-shirts because I'm very active with my dog. And it's hot out.

But I want my engagement ring to be different and special and stand out compared to everything else. I am (heavily) leaning toward a round center with a halo. Halos are a fairly classic style and seen in a lot of antique jewelry. I think it will be beautiful and get the attention it deserves.

I'm still looking for the perfect stone. I am leaning really heavily towards ovals and cushions, but I still haven't found it yet.

No, it's alot BIGGER then my other jewelry

I guess it goes with my other jewelry, not that I have a lot. Nice and simple with just a little somthing different. I think more then anything my E-ring just suits me and it look "right" on my hand so it really dosn't need to go with anything else because it goes with me.

Nope, not at all! My ering setting is the Sholdt semi-bezel, which I think is clean, fluid, modern and reasonably classic. A lot of my other jewellery is quite art deco in appearance. I also wear lots of strong colours and costume jewellery accessories. I am currently wrestling with how to reconcile this...

New classic "everyday" jewellery wardrobe, anyone? :$$): ;) :naughty:

It's just going to be a RB solitaire. Simple, clean, classic. So I guess on those lines it does match with the rest of my jewelry. I don't have much jewelry at this point in my life except for a pair of diamond studs and a Journey pendant necklace from BF. But, like 4ever said, the ring will really match me. I am a very simple and laid back person and I think a solitaire really suits me. :)

Hopefully not!! If I get the ring I have my eye on, it is really different than all my other jewelery. I read this post and sort of realized I don't really have a "style" I stick to. But the e-ring I want is a vintagy style and I don't own any vintage jewelry so it will be different. but I just love it :)

It definitely will! I only wear white gold, and I don't ever wear anthing too over-the-top 'gaudy'. The only piece of jewelry I wear on a very regular basis is the double bangle white gold Tiffany and Co. bracelet my FF bought me for my birthday last year.
My e-ring (which I hope to have VERY soon!!!) is a thick platinum band (has to be thick since I have HUGE hands!) and just one big diamond with some very tiny little diamonds right underneath. I like the surprise element of the underneath diamonds, and it totally fits my personality--a little quirky!
Once I get the ring, I may be so infatuated with it that I forget other jewelry altogether! :twirl:
