A GIA L will be noticeably tinted. Not yellow, but a creamy off-white color. However, many people do have L-colored diamonds and like them, it just depends on what you are looking for.

I've had an L. Yes, it was candlelight colored. I thought it was beautiful and it complimented the cut faceting on my diamond. I would make sure you have a GREAT return policy if you buy this one. Personally I'd go a bit smaller, or drop the clarity and get a J.

Although it will be slightly yellow , will it still be have a good shine? & if not what is important for a diamond to shine?
