Will a rose gold band ruin a platinum band?

Bands generally don't ruin each other unless there are diamonds that scratch the other ring. Two smooth rings just sitting against each other is usually not going to be a problem. If there are fine scratches over time, you just get the platinum polished.

But if damage would occurr it would be platinum damaging gold anyway because platinum is "harder".
