Will I find something with these criteria?

Hi all,

Firstly, I have been spending a bit of time reading on pricescope and have finally signed up.
There is a wealth of knowledge here that has helped me tremendously (still reading through the info).

So onto my query.
I am looking to buy an loose diamond and have it shipped to Australia, and then I will get it set locally.
I haven't bought any diamonds before, let alone online and internationally.

My budget is between ~4000-4500 USD.
The minimum specs my partner has indicated she would like are the following:
0.8ct
vs2
H
Triple excellent
H&A (if possible)

So my question is, is it possible to find a decent diamond that fits this criteria for this budget?

OR, if you're okay with going to 0.774ct and having Strong Blue Fluorescence, Brian Gavin Diamond has a beautiful H-VS2 BGD Blue diamond priced at $3,341 - http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/d...0.774-h-vs2-round-diamond-ags-bl-104061762003 - comparatively speaking, that WhiteFlash stone has a diameter of apx 6.06mm and this BGD Blue stone has a diameter of 5.90mm - I think the difference would be unnoticeable, and the boost of Strong Blue Fluor would likely brighten the whiteness of the stone.

Still, since 0.80ct is your GF's preferred minimum carat weight, the WF stone may be the better option for you.

My gf would prefer faint to no florescence, so that takes out the BGD blue (I've tried convincing her to no avail).
Right now these are the ones being looked at. We did look at many sites, it just happened that bluenile had preferred diamonds.

Matt - to help narrow down your final selection, go ahead and plug the numbers from the grading reports into the two following tools - the Holloway Cut Analysis (HCA) https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca and the AGA/NAJA Cut Class Diamond Grading Screening Tool (AGA) https://www.pricescope.com/tools/AGA_NAJA_Cut_Class_Grader - [fyi: both of these are found under the "Tools" menu tab above] Basically, for the best diamond performance, you're looking for stones with HCA scores below 2.0 and AGA total scores of 1A - since all the BN stones you've chosen are VS1 or better clarity, once you've winnowed your list down with the HCA and AGA tools, I suggest choosing the largest stone in terms of mm dimensions that you can afford. And, of course, BlueNile has an excellent return policy should you need to avail yourself of it. Good luck!

I really would suggest whiteflash if your GF doesnt like flour (even if that does maker her CRAZY ) I would go with WF. they have a lot of beautiful stones in your price range you can actually see, as well as ASET/ ID images and a good upgrade policy in the future.
