wider band sizing rule

I know the general rule of thumb for wider bands is to go a half size larger, does a 3mm band fit this rule of thumb or is it thin enough to fit true to size?

I think a 3mm would still be pretty true to size.

My 3mm band is 1/4 size larger and I really appreciate it!

I have a 4mm and I wished it was a tad larger, it fits a little tighter then my thinner rings. My original wedding band was around 6-7mm and I went up a 1/2 size larger.
