Who would you recommend for gem polish/recut?

I just bought this 18kwg antique ring with a 10.1mm blue zircon. I bought it for the setting (great deal!) But then this zircon had me at "hello"! But it needs polishing, probably recut due to facet junction abrasions and a girdle chip. I want to try to improve the stone, but really want to keep it in this setting. I'm a novice at this, I am hoping the experts here might offer 20180317_204645.jpg 20180317_204555.jpg 20180317_204756.jpg some guidance. Anyone here have experience with getting an antique gem repaired? Who do you recommend?
Any input appreciated! I emailed DK,( I think he does some restoration), but I'd love to get some advice here.

Just an update and huge Thanks! for sending me to Jerry Newman at Gemart! He just recut my vintage blue zircon . It was 10.5 mm, weighed 5.6 cts, but had facet abrasions and a girdle chip. He just sent me a photo of the work he did on it. He was able to repolish the crown and eliminate the chip. She's now 9.6mm and 5.2 cts, and looking fantastic! Can't wait to get her back!

It looks so sparkly now! Will you be putting it in a new setting?

Looks fantastic and hardly any carat weight loss.
Gives me hope for RubyRuby - if she can be recut.

@kindred I actually have a ring I just had made by David Klass a few months ago, I'm bringing him this zircon and he's going to switch out the stones and rebuild the bezel.
>>>>Well, I think I might.<<<<
I also have another ring idea for it, so I'm thinking about it.
Forgive my photoshopping: 20181012_204810.jpg 20181012_204725.png

@Bron357 there's hope for ruby! Honestly, I didn't have much hope for that zircon, she took a hard blow at some point. Ugly chip on the girdle. Appraisal on the ring I bought her in said something like "little value given to the zircon in this evaluation, in its current condition blah, blah, it has little value".

Jerry is awesome! I bet he could help you!

BF216337-F19B-4DD0-8250-FC471AAFCDF4.jpeg I’m fortunate that here in Australia we have a likewise magical guy - Doug from Bespoke gems.
RubyRuby has a nasty girdle chip too BUT also a significant feather flaw across the gem.
So it’s going to be either - yay she can be recut and stay over 6 carats (currently 6.20) = very happy or Nope, unstable, unable to be repaired = very sad.
I’ve got to pluck up my courage!

Can't hurt to send him an email with some pics, get an informal opinion. Maybe just get the chip repaired and live with the flaw? I love the color of that ruby!
