Who would you choose to custom make this band?

I love this band, but I want it made without the milgrain and engraving. Also, I want it all diamonds. Who would you choose to custom make it? I''m currently having a ring made by Leon Mege, but this isn''t his usual pave style. Would it be worth paying the premium to have him make it? Or is there someone else I should look into?

As with most things, I would get a quote from several vendors and see who is the best with price and reputation. No doubt there are several PS vendors who can produce the piece at competitive prices and with great quality. Just contact a few well known vendors and see what they estimate it will cost.

i think beverley k makes a band just like that. I'd probably go with them and just have them make it w/out the milgrain and engraving and in all diamonds. there's a chance it would be less expensive than going custom since the mold would already be made.

Here's that Beverly K ring but in all diamonds: click here

I agree with her, as that would probably be the cheapest and easiest route. Or you could also go with Green Lake Jewelry. Looks like it could be something up their alley.

I have a Leon ering as well and actually send Leon a picture of that exact ring and asked him what it would cost for him to reproduce the ring for me... I wanted the milligrain edging and engraving, with a width of 2.5 mm to 3mm... more like a 2.8 really.

I know for just labour alone it was 2000.00, not including the price of the stones, so all in all, I was looking at 3000.00

The Bev K band is beautiful, in fact I just ordered it and i am sure they can do it without the miligrain edge and engraving.. one would think they could anyways.

I would contact Pearlman''s and ask.. they are wonderful to work with.

Leon will do it, but it may be pricey......

Hm.. for some reason it won''t let me edit my post

Anyways, I forgot to mention that you could check out Single Stone as well.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I''ve contacted WF and ERD for a quote too. I think WF is my second choice right now for their ACA melee. Will stones that small show the H&A?

The Bev K ring is very similar, but wouldn''t that be like paying for a "name" too? Considering, her ring is $2250 plus the price to customize, I''m thinking it''ll end up close to LM price (give or take a few hundred). But my concern regarding LM is that he is known for his pave. If I wanted a pave ring, I wouldn''t hesitate to order from him and pay the premium. But for something like this, I''m not too sure if it''s worth it. It would be nice for the added assurance of having it all match in quality. And there''s a certain delicateness to his work...

BrownEyed, can you tell me the width of the band you ordered? I''m hoping to have somethng around 2.4-2.5mm.

I also contacted Singlestone, but I''m more interested in round brilliants and baguettes, rather than french cut.

What cut are you specifying for the rectangular diamonds? The typical ring of this sort used to have baguettes in it for those shapes. I don''t think you''ll readily find rectangular princss cuts, but you could easily get square ones. You might use another couple diamonds to go around the finger if you shorten to square from rectangular. Princess cuts will be more lively than step cut baguettes, too.

Hi there !! I think the width of the band is a little more than a 2.5 mm... but not quite a 3mm...

I know that is vague, but from what I understand it is closer to a 2.5mm than a 3mm.. so on the thinner side, which is exactly what I want.

My ering shank is 2.5 and my wedding band is 2.5 as well, so the Bev K band needed to be a little bit thicker.

Bev K has a variety of bands similar to this one and the majority of her bands are 2.5 mm.

I''m guessing mine is a 2.5 mm...

Wow, re-reading that, I realized I didn''t quite answer your question....

Let me double check the width and get back to you...

Oh, found the info !!!

2.5 mm wide, 1.6 mm deep

Hope that helps. . good luck !!!!!

ETA :

I am sure Leon would do a FABULOUS job on this ring and your right, he does have a certain delicateness to hid work that is comparable to none.

I searched for a ring similar to this for MONTHS and finally bit the bullet and went with the Bev K.

Leon even said himself I could likely find exactly what I was looking for online or at a local B&M.

I guess it all depends on your budget.

I chose the Bev K band because all of what I wanted was there.... the width, the depth, the carat weight, the colour and clarity of the stones, etc.

Leon liked this band as well and knows I will be wearing it as a fancy spacer between my ering and wedding band and had no problems with it, although didn''t advise it 100%.... but I''m as stubborn as he is, so we found some middle ground, agreed to disagree and we are both happy.

He felt anything between the two rings was better than them rubbing together

A few sites I was on were:

Fay Cullen
Singlestone
Wannabuyawatch
Ebay
EstateDiamondJewelery
Topiary (sp)

I goggled "french cut and diamond eternity band" and "stacking eternity band" AND "stackable eternity band" for months...

I hope this info helps !!!!

I recently saw a similar ring that Ari of Singlestone made and it was lovely.

oldminer...I was actually considering princess and rounds for a while. I do like the extra sparkle factor of princess. I wonder if it would be possible to have 2 princess cuts together to form the rectangle part???

Thanks BrownEyed! Your LM is sooo gorgeous. I''m having him make a ring and band too, but neither of them are 3-sided pave. As much as I love, love, love the look of them, I worried about the diamonds rubbing against each other. I wanted to use this band as a kind of spacer too, since the shank and band are going to be very thin....a little added bling

You certainly could put two princess cuts together to form a rectangle. You might want a very thin, nearly invisilbe wall between them to prevent chipping, but a good jeweler bench person could make the judgment on that. If you want a fun shpping task, you could go out into the second hand market for both a round and a separate princess cut eternity ring. If you find them in a small finger size, they may be for sale at a very low price because they are very difficult to sell since you can''t size them back up to a 6+ easily. Pick the right width stones and re-use the diamonds in one ring. It might save you a lot on the diamond part.

oldminer...I don''t know how I feel about the spacer between the 2 princesses. But it''s definitely something I need to consider. Thanks for bringing it up! Definitely want to avoid chipping.

BrownEyed...I just noticed that the BevK rings on the site are white gold. Did you order yours in platinum? If the $2K quote for LM is in platinum, I was wondering if it might actually end up cheaper or equivalent to the BevK. I asked Leon for a quote too, but he''ll be out of town for the next week so I have to wait til he gets back

correction: browneyed''s quote from bill is for white gold.

i''m actually in the process of ordering the same band as browneyed and just want to point out that bill''s quote is a mistake. pearlman''s confirmed it and was really apologetic. if you go to their website and look at this item, you''ll notice the description states the price is for ONE ring. thought i spare you the confusion i experienced!

thanks for the correct info diamondnut...sorry melanie..
