Hi. I''m looking for a very small, delicate halo for a round. Meaning does not go far out, at all, from the stone. Any ideas?

Also, I saw somewhere a halo for a round that was very small but was shaped more like a rectangle, in the E-W direction. That was nice.

Thanks.

I have seen a Tacori Halo on here which was very delicate. I think this is it.

Now THAT is a gorgeous ring

thank you, thank you, thank you

I think I like the Tacori one better, as the edge does not look "bezeled" just diamond encrusted.

Happy Hollidays.

Here is mine, with a transitional cut diamond! The stone is actually not set into the mounting, but rather "floats" above the halo, held by 4 prongs.

I really like your ring and how it is set. Who did you have your ring set by?

Hearting Diamonds:

Who makes your setting? I really, really like it.

To answer your question, Jenna and Sonoma, my setting is from Single Stone. Glad you like it - I ADORE it

. Doesn't hurt that it makes my stone appear a whole carat larger too

!

The way it's set, with the diamond "floating" above the halo, its hard to decipher where the diamond ends and the halo begins.

Hearting:

Do you know exactly what it's called and/or where I can get it from? I looked at singlestone.com but wasn't sure which one? It's exactly what I'm looking for!

Does singlestone sell settings (no stone) or just pre-set rings, as it appears on the website?

Oh, and how high does it sit? Do you have a side shot? Any other photos?

Thanks.

Hi Sonoma,

I dont know what the exact "model" number is. I dont know that I have seen it in his website either, but I know I have seen the ring (because this is where I first saw it) in his print ads. Yes, he sells mountings only as well. It sits pretty low on my fingers, which I like (I tend to be very klutzy and always bang my hands around). I will try to get you some more photos sometime today.

Thanks Hearting. I really appreciate it. I need to get a new setting asap.

Happy Hollidays.

Here you go. Good luck with your search - I know its hard to find "the one" (in more ways than one!).

That setting is gorgeous, HeartingDiamonds!! I just adore SS''s pieces...they are to die for!!!! Maybe there is a reason I live over 3K miles away from there....It would be dangerous if I lived close!!!! Can you tell us more about the center stone?

Thanks, Dani! The center stone is a 1.95ct transitional cut stone, J color, SI clarity. It is my favorite diamond ever and I love that it is different from almost everyone in my circle of friends. I wear a size 7 ring so I also love the fact that the setting gives ALOT of finger coverage (shrinkage has already set in, ya know...)

Its just beautiful. I''m so jealous! I hope to one day own a "older" diamond, like a OEC or cushion, and have SS do the setting. I also still have my eyes set on that eternity band from SS with the OEC''s in it that I posted in another thread about. I love it!!! I''m thinking of getting it for an anniversary present....I just think their work is so GORGEOUS!!

Hearting:

Fantastic. I really love it. The side view has an antique look and it does sit low (a good thing). Thanks so much.

Happy, Merry.

Good luck with your search - please come back and tell us what you end up with! Do you have a center stone already?

Just my observation: The bigger diamonds tend to dwarf the halos a bit more, making them look a bit more delicate, so the setting you choose could look different depending on your diamond size.
