I am 41, married for 2 years, to a NY Irish Catholic. LOL We have 2 cats, Sammy, and BooBoo. I don''t know how to post pics yet, but I will try later. I was a Republican for years, and SURPRISE, I am actually registered Democrat right now!!! Betcha ya didn''t know that!!!!

I think I forgot to say that my NY Irish Catholic husband is a raging Democrat. We get along just fine......lol

I grew up in a household with parents that went thru the Depression, and they never threw anything away, ever. They were also raging Republicans. I never knew what Jimmy Carter looked like really until years after he was out of office. My mother would jump up to turn off the TV whenever he came on!!!

I lost my Dad to cancer when he was 65 and I was 18. I knew he was sick, and in the end, I just wanted him to be out of his pain and misery. It''s kinda like losing the rudder of your boat. He was a really good Dad, and I miss him.

My favorite color is Purple! But I love strong colors like pink, dark blue, crimson, black. Not into pastels at all. I like solids, not so much into patterns. My curtains in my living room are crimson, and they go across an entire wall.

My perfect day is a day where I get to sleep as much as I want, and then I''d go to the Apple store and buy something fun, and then go next door and go on a spending spree at SEPHORA!!!! And then have dinner at the Outback!!!

I actually met hubby online on Myspace. He saw a comment I left for a mutual friend, and he emailed me cause he thought I was cute. We started talking on the phone, and we actually got engaged on the phone!!! OMG, too weird, I know. He lived in NYC, and moved here after we got married. We are living/caretaking my Mom''s condo while she is in a nursing home right down the street. When she passes on, we will be moving to Brooklyn!!!

Hubby is Liberal and I am Conservative. I question him a lot about WHY he believes the way he does, and I get some pretty wacky answers. He thinks I am crazy and I think he is crazy! We are good as long as we don''t talk Politics.

I am in love with jewelry, and should have gone to school at the GIA to become a gemologist. Maybe I will do that after we move to NYC. We live in the Tampa Bay area now.

My favorite type of food is just about anything!!! I love Sushi, Thai, Indian, Ethopian, Health Food, Pizza, Itallian, Chinese, Irish, German, Mexican.....UGH. Fried chicken.....omg.......stop me now.....there is much that I don''t like.

Oh yeah, I don''t like hot dogs much, or Sloppy Joes, or Salisbury Steak....yech!

Music. I love Metal!!! Old School kind, Judas Priest, Metallica, Scorpions, Iron Maiden. But I also like Journey, Foreigner, AC/DC, David Bowie, Billy Joel (old stuff), The Clash, U2....basically pretty much a lot of music except rapp, country, and easy listening.

What did you do instead? What sort of educational or vocational interests did you have when you were young and did those translate into a career...or did you wind up working in a job that was completely different from the field for which your education had prepared you? Did you continue to work outside the home after you were married?

LOL! You reminded me of a conversation I had with my cousin''s DH [in Milano]. We''re sitting there with our drinks, etc. [I was there to redesign the spare parts distribution system for Fiat and Lancia in Europe], he is this major lawyer, and he asks me "Cosa pensi del Carrrrrrterrrr". I was like, huh? What planet are you from? Once I figured out that he was asking about Jummy Carter, we were on the same wavelength. Carter? Are you kidding me? Can you say WOS?

Yeah, I actually have an Indian or Purple Starsapphire pendant in Sterling Silver, that has a beautiful star in direct light, and a matching ring that has a really good star too. Not necessarily "gem" material, as far as expensiveness goes, but, the kind of gems you get at gem shows, which I love to go to! I spend HOURS there whenever I go! I live in the Tampa area. I will try to post pics of each. I love yours BTW!!!

I bought the pendant at TJ Maxx, and the ring on Ebay. I''d rather have found them at some more exotic locations, but, TJ Maxx has some great silver jewelry.
