Who else is working hard/hardly working today?

Half the staff is gone today, but I work in a 24 hr business, so have to trade days off with others. I took today, and will get Monday off. But it might as well be a day off, as nothing is going on.

I have 4 and a half hours left today and 12 tomorrow. I'm glad it's winter otherwise it would be super effing busy.

I got to spend my morning in a high security unit for sexual offenders. I get all the good stuff at work, I really do.

I finished at lunchtime, and we've been visiting friends and family with gifts this afternoon. Decorated the house and put the Christmas tree up too. I'm pretty much exhausted!

I'll be working tonight to get Saturday's paper out. We have very early deadlines; it should be interesting. I'm off tomorrow, but only because it's my regular day off, I'll get a day off later.

I only work at the office on Wednesday so I get a nice long Christmas vacation. Work doesn't stop here at Casa Packrat tho.

JD was supposed to work today, 4 hours. First they were going to close the plant and give everyone a 3 day weekend, but the union complained b/c they wanted to come in and get paid to sit around and not work, b/c that's how it is at holiday time, they don't schedule the work so they can hopefully have time off. So they said they'd let them come in for 4 hours. However, JD was ticked b/c that meant he had to come in, and technically not get paid for it. So, he made a huuuuge list of all the stuff his people were going to do and took it around last night to show them and they freaked. So, no work for him today hahaha.

I'm at work right now. It's surprisingly busy. Lots of wild-eyed men scrambling madly for that last gift- usually for the wife. Always entertaining...

I'm off today but working Saturday...on call for 24 hours. Let's hope nobody needs surgery on Christmas day.

I'm on call from home until Monday am, which isn't so bad.

DH is working covering 4 different hospitals until Wednesday AM though...Luckily we have a week off after that. Can't wait!

Been at work for 30 minutes! Just another 690 minutes left then I'm off for a few days yay. Days to spend with the dogs all wrapped up in blankets watching Wonderfalls and Pushing Daisies on DVD since they always seem to cancel the awesome shows

We work every day here, and I'm on call 24/7. But I've just done minimal work today, probably won't have much to do tomorrow, either.

We had our christmas yesterday (Christmas Eve.). DH works today. He is making dinner with the guys at the fire station. We are
having leftover prime rib and I am not cooking a thing. Kind of bums me out. I will be glad when he retires and we don't have
to do this anymore, but the kids will probably all be moved out then. bah humbug.
