The original diamond reserved for purchase from whiteflash was sold...they are now offering me this diamond. What do you guys think? I know the HCA ratings are not accurate when it is less than 2.0, but I can't help noticing only very good for 3 of the 4 categories.

1.12 ct G VS1 ACA
Depth % 61.9
Table % 56.0
Crown Angle 34.9
Star 52.0
Pavilion Angle 40.9

Why are there other ACA diamonds with slightly less carat weight and clarity (VS, but same color) costing almost 1k more?

FYI this was the original diamond I wanted:

Both of those stones the original 1.12 and the new 1.14 are both showing as sold. Are you sure the 1.14 is available? They both look like super stone and I'm sure either will look perfect irl.

I hope WF are now offering you some sort of discount/super customer service to make up for this mistake. If the stone I had my heart set on was sold from under my I'd be catatonic!

Best of luck with you purchase.

I was verbally confirmed that the 1.12ct is reserved for me. The thing is, I already wired the money for the 1.14 and I received an email with the shipping details. 5 minutes later, I received an email saying the shipment was cancelled. Should I forget about about WF and consider this diamond from bluenile? I was very content with the 1.14ct stone, but now I'm starting to second guess this whole hearts and arrows pattern and it just feels like a gimmick. Can one really see a real world difference?

Would I go for a stone with no images whatsoever and no confirmation of ideal light performance? No.

WhiteFlash has multiple sales reps. One can be talking to a customer about the same stone at the same time another rep is. So on rare occasions, this happens. I doubt any vendor here is perfect and has never made a mistake.

You don't use the HCA on an AGS Ideal cut stone because the AGS grading is more accurate. If it gets ideal in light performance, that is what you are looking for. So the replacement stone is great. You're getting a VS1 instead of a VS2 for no extra money! I'd be excited with this particular mistake! It worked out to your favor!

I agree with diamondseeker. These things are bound to happen from time to time but it looks like whiteflash is giving you a great stone for the same money. Higher clarity, very very slightly smaller in diameter. You won't even notice. I would go for it. It looks like a great deal to me. You can't go wrong with an ACA stone. If you like the other stones better ask them if they will give you one of those for the same or a better price. My guess is, they probably will.

Sorry about your disappointment. I am sure WF will work with you to get you a replacement that makes you happy. As for the BN diamond, I guess I am a bit tempted because it is larger and also GIA Excellent cut (good spec). The only reservation I have is its "strong blue flouresence". My concern is possible hazzy appearance. You may want to risk wasting the reeturn shipping charge to have the diamond shipped to you for thorough inspection. Make sure you check under a bright day both inside and outside.

ACA diamonds are definitely great looking and are no gimmicks. The particular BN diamond may look amazing as well, as long as it does not have hazzy problem.
