I'm trying to decide between WF or JA, the stones that i'm looking at are very similar in range. WF's rb is scoring 0.8 on the cut adviser. JA's rb is scoring 1.6. which vendor is safer?? i know their both reputable on PC site, is one better than the other? Or both pretty equal?

I don't know anything about JA, but I've never read of an unresolved customer issue with WF. Never. I mean that's a hard thing to do. There are 1000's and 1000's of posts here.

WF is 100% safe. I know that.

I think you''re safe with both - they both have great reputations on PS

You''re definitely safe with both. The only real difference to consider is the upgrade policies, JA''s is not as lenient as WF. If that''s a possibility, you might take that into consideration.

You mention the stones being "very similar in range", and I''m not sure if you mean size/color/clarity by that, but the scores suggest they may very well be different in cut, and that can affect performance/appearance. You might want to post the info just to get a second opinion.

Ditto Ellen. WF''s upgrade policy is significantly better. You could also base your decision on which company has the setting you want, getting the whole thing from one place is easier.

Also with the HCA, it isn''t used to select diamonds but to eliminate the lesser performers, generally diamonds which score below 2 are considered a '' pass'' pending further evaluation, this is done with Idealscope, ASET, and trusted vendor/ appraiser input.
