A diamond is an investment. I''d hate to see you rush this and possibly be disappointed with your purchase. Why do you need a ring by Saturday?

I got screwed up by one of the MALL retailers.. they we promissing me a beautiful diamond..I waited for it 2 weeks when it arrived it WAS HORRIBLE!! now my anniversary is comming up this month march 26th.. 6 years together.. and I wanted to it to do it this SATURDAY . I have been checking out diamonds for few months now its just that somehow i felt buying it from the store seemed a lot safer... NOW from what i`ve seen MALLS want to sell you a diamond ring for a price thats really not worth of buying.. SO what can I do now?

You can''t go wrong with a Whiteflash A Cut Above. My wedding band is made of them and a LOT of the members of Pricescope wear them proudly.

Not sure what size you are interested in but an ACA is brilliant and firey and beautiful.

I totally agree! We call the "maul" stores around here. The diamond should be gorgeous and your future fiance will love it then. My husband and I just bought a gorgeous 1.5 ct yellow diamond from Diamonds By Lauren. We were initially skeptical about
buying online, but the price was great and the customer service was excellent. My husband was going to buy my e-ring from a "maul" and when he went to pick it up, he realized that the stone looked completely different then the one he had picked out and paid for! He was going to surprise me with it. I don''t think it is common for jewlers to do this at all. We just had one bad experience with the "maul". Anyway, I am sure you can get your ring by Sat. unless you get a custom setting which could add a week. I''m sure WF will be able to accomodate you.

Good Luck!

Ame aren`t the CUT ABOVE round diamonds? I`m looking for a PRINCESS cut.. Can anybody figure out if that diamond has LOTS of BRILLIANCE and FIRE? Is it possible for a diamond to be IDEAL and VERY GOOD CUT and have no brilliance and fire?

thanks Sunni

Diamond326,

So sorry to hear that you have been put in a rush.

A 1.25 Princess would look ideal in the setting you've pointed out - the actual diamond is something to discuss: The one you've found is located with at a supplier. We will of course bring it in for you if you're interested. We don't sell any off-site diamond without first getting it on-site for expert analysis and verification. We can discuss this as well as other options.

I will send you a PM with info.

Thank you for contacting us here.

diamond326,

Princesses are hard to buy without seeing, as any diamond. Trust me I just went through it. They tend to be cut deeply causing the stone to look smaller than it should or too shallow causing it to look washed out. There really aren''t any ideal cuts yet, I don''t think. They are coming soon but will be pricier.

Have you done any research on this? Like lurking around here for a while? You should before you buy. If I were you, I''d buy something else, necklace, bracelet, etc. for the anniversary and give yourself some time for diamond shopping.

I''ve never dealt with Whiteflash but many here have and swear by them. You could call and explain your predicament. My understanding is that they have a good eye for stones and may be able to get you what you want sight unseen but I doubt they would even recommend that when you have a week. Good luck!

Christy42 Thanks a lot for your reply! :o) I know it seems like i`m rushing and i`m not sure if all of that can be done in such a short time.. BUT i`ve been putting this off for such as long time now that I feel that there is NOTHING else i can buy for my GF but the DIAMOND RING... I have been looking for that perfect ring for months now and STORES don`t have it or they want to charge me for it LEG and an ARM!!! and I feel that They are trying to rip me off.. some stones that they sell are the worst diamonds i have seen being sold for a crazy price!! I know princess cut diamonds are not that easy to be checked without looking at them. But i`m hoping that there is somewhere somebody selling those diamonds that is REALLY willing to help me out finding that PERFECT diamond .. I`m not looking for a lot.. JUST for EXCELLENT BRILLIANCE and FIRE!. you can`t find those in malls!!

Well if anyone can help you , I think WF can. They''ve already chimed in to help you. I hope all goes well and post pictures! Good luck!

Well if you are attached to Princess cut I am sure John can definitely help you. Hopefully they can supply you with a good one.. Yes ACA are rounds. But I find them to be about as good as it gets in terms of sparkle, fire, rainbows and brilliance.

You should do just fine with this ring.

You may want to go over to DirtCheapDiamonds and check out their signature series princess diamonds. Here''s a 1.5 carat G SI1 in the $8000 range. http://www.dirtcheapdiamonds.com/diamond_detail.cfm?did=7213288 I believe that all of their signature series diamonds are already in-house so it could save you some time. A picture is posted along with the specs on the website. I don''t think that they carry Vatche settings but may have an alternative that would suit you.

If you want to go with Whiteflash, I think you can rest assured that they will find you exactlly what you are looking for. You don''t have to worry about diamonds on-line being misrepresented, at least not by them anyway.

thanks guys.. will see what happens..I hope that this WHITEFLASH can help me out... I was thinking about BLUE NILE but people told me that they don`t do upgrades....

Here''s two you might look at, from 2 quality vendors. To find these, I used the search by cut database, and constrained between 1.2 & 1.6 carats, G & I color, and Vs1 - Vs2...though SI 1 may be OK, I''ve heard clarity can be more sensitive in non-rounds, thus the more conservative picks.

Best,
