I posted a thread yesterday about what to do with $1500, and many votes went for the WF bangle. It is gorgeous bracelet but I dismissed it pretty quickly because I don''t find bangles very comfortable. I have pretty small wrists and I think part of the problem is they always seem to rotate. Even the oval shaped ones, and it''s very annoying. Plus, I''d want the diamonds facing up!

How would I tell what size bangle to get? I usually get 7" bracelets, but those are a little big, so I actually like smaller than that. Also, I can afford the 1.5 ctw one right now, and it has .06 stones, whereas the 2.00ctw has .08 stones. Is that enough of a visual difference to justify the price increase?

Can anyone post wearing their 1.5 or 2.00 ctw WF bangles? Thanks!

I know JCrow and Mara both have the WF bangle and there are plenty of pics somewhere....Let me try to look....

I have this bangle, but haven''t posted pics here on PS (bad me!). I LOVE it- sparkles like crazy.

I think that JCrow has something "special" done to hers as she too has wee wrists. I''d give WF a call to see what they can do for you.

I am very much a ''value for money'' person and I seriously considered this bangle. But I regretfully dismissed it when in dorect comparision to this:
http://www.whiteflash.com/golden-wardrobe/Gold_Details.aspx?ItemCode=WF-TBB-133&CategID=3

Sorry, it IS over budget, but has 2cts! (14kt) $2025

Or this for a twinge more, but safer set in the bezel?:

http://www.whiteflash.com/golden-wardrobe/Gold_Details.aspx?ItemCode=WF-TBB-209&CategID=3

2cts again (14kt) $2145

The bangle is lovely, but dosen''t have enough bang* for my buck :-(

http://www.whiteflash.com/Fine-jewelry/Bracelets/Shared-Prong-Bangle_958.htm

1ct $1195 (14kt)
1.5ct $1695 (14kt)
2ct $2275 (14kt) ETC

Perhaps the ladies with this bangle can chime in as to the *sparkle being only on 50% of the band. Does it spin at all? My big concern was that the tennis bracelet looked to me to be biigger sparkle, perhaps so, perhaps not?

Any comments?

mine isn't special. it's the smalles stock one they make, that's all. i have very small wrist and the smallest one is a tad big, like i don't have to open it to get it on and off, but i still adore it, and wear it often.
i always thought it didn't spin, but it actually does, i just don't notice it much.
i get lots of compliments on it - more than my rings really. go for it! it's a great choice!!

oh and mine has 3 pointers on it to match my wedding band. i LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Thanks for the suggestions. I already have a tennis bracelet so if I do decide to go with a bracelet, it won''t be a tennis bracelet. Thanks though!

Can you post a pic of you wearing your bracelet? What is the carat weight of it? Also, can you tell me the wrist size you got? Sorry for all questions!

It was briefly discussed, but I think the diamonds would be too small for my liking with my budget. I''m kindof considering talking to WF about the bangle and the different wrist sizes, since it seems like they have more than one. I have no idea how to measure for a bangle.

I''m really wanting to know if going from the 1.50ctw to the 2.00ctw is worth it visually? Anyone?

OOOOH I''d not seen the half bezel set bracelet!!! I want one!!!!

this is the thread discussing sizing. in it i posted the size of my wrist.

this thread has pics of me wearing the bracelet. i wore it for the reception only.

i don''t remember the carat weight, but it''s 3 pointers.

Sorry it''s taken me so long to respond. I''ve been away, but I will check out the links provided a little later, and maybe come back with more questions, I''m not sure LOL!

I''m really starting to like the idea of the bangle! I hope that WF has a size that will fit me if I do decide on this.

Okay, I just looked at the links, and does anyone know if WF can make the bangle smaller, or is it just one standard size? As far as measuring, it sounds like an 1" below the wrist bone is a good place? Mine is 6" at that point. What did others do for a wrist that size? Did the standard fit?

Thanks!

I''m watching this thread with interest, because even though I am not much of a bracelet person, I ADORE that oval WF bangle... but I have REALLY SMALL wrists, too... and I just know that it would be too big for me "as is".

I wish wish wish that WF would make a more "petite" version of it, for those of us with very small wrists. I bet it would sell like CRAZEEEEE!

Do you know how big the bangle is? If you could lay it out flat how many inches long would it be? Does that make sense? I could probably get away with it if it''s 7", but I don''t know if it would be too big if it was any larger than that.

I agree that they should make two size bangles! I bet they would sell a lot more!

I''ve been eyeing this bangle since day one. Love it, but have a tiny wrist. I look forward to what you find out.

orbaya...i just measured my wrist on the bone part and it is 6". someone already posted pictures of my bangle on my wrist but i don''t think it''s too big at all. it does spin a tiny bit so that the diamonds aren''t always on the top, sometimes partially and partially on the side, but it doesn''t really bug me, i just move it around a lot (it got to be a habit).

the one thing that irritates me about it, and i think it''s just a function of a less yielding ''bangle'' design is that when i am typing at work a lot, the metal part rests entirely on the desk and kind of pushes my wrist into a weird position. so sometimes i can''t wear it all day without it kind of hurting my wrist.

i like the one that steel posted too but it doesn''t look like it opens at all and it would bug me to have to squeeze something over my hand all the time, especially something with diamonds on it! and i actually really like that the wf one is 1/2 diamonds, 1/2 metal, it''s kind of a different look.

i really like the 1ctw...i have the 1.5ctw but i think if i had to do it again, i''d get the 1ctw just because it''s a little more simple and a bit more me.

Well, I''ve been emailing with Lesley at WF about the diamond bangle. It sounds promising that the bangle may work out for me, and hopefully some other ladies on here!
36.gif
I have her permission to copy and paste the emails so I thought I''d just do that. Hopefully this will help answer some questions.

"The bangle comes in one standard size and it is not possible to size it. However, it does fit differently to a link bracelet in that it is more oval shaped and it does not spin. The oval shape also stops the bangle from sliding off, as it stops half way down the hand. We have shipped several bangles to women with smaller wrists and they have not returned them, saying that they do not fall off and do not spin."

"The bangle is no bigger than 7" and it fits tighter than a 7" tennis bracelet would fit due to the oval shape. We are looking into making a smaller model and will continue to pursue that, but for now 7" is the only one made."

I think I''d like at least the 1.5ctw. Is there a picture of you wearing yours around here somewhere? I''m wondering if the 2.00ctw would be a bit much since I do have smaller wrists and I''d want to wear if often. I don''t want it too small either LOL! I''m also wondering about if shrinkage will set in later on?

I definitely want an oval bangle that opens, and like you I like how the WF bangle is only half diamonds.

I''m hoping that the current bangle size fits me. A 7" link bracelet is a little large, so if the bangle fits a little smaller, it might work! I''m just concerned on how high up my arm it could slide up. I''d perfer it to not go half way up my forearm.

I''ve searched and seen pictures of every size except for the 2ctw. Does anyone know of any wrist shots with this size?

orb...dani posted the link to my bangle thread up above but here it is again, there are pictures in here:

Mara's thread:
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/3rd-anniversary-bling.62160/

oh and i noted up above that i am a 6" wrist which it sounds like you are as well so i imagine it would look quite similar on you in terms of size. it's definitely not too big for me. it goes up my arm a little...probably about 1/3 up my forearm..which i actually like because it's a totally different look (think armband kind of look). but it doesn't stay there, it typically will slide back down haha.

for me shrinkage has definitely not set in with this...which is funny since i have ring shrinkage issues. the bangle is almost too blingy for me to wear honestly. i only wear it maybe once a week. i wish i could wear it more but it's just kind of too much bling for me with my rings. i tried on the 1ctw at WF in november and i kind of wish we had gone with that one instead because it might feel more 'me'. but who am i kidding, i just don't wear that much other jewelry. my pendant, my rings, and some earrings are typically all you find on me.

have fun shopping!

Thanks for responding. Where did you measure your wrist at 6"? I measured mine a little below the wrist bump if that makes sense. It seems like the 1.5ctw is popular for everyday wear, and I want to be wearable whenever. I''m thinking about getting the 2ctw bracelet and if I find it too blingy then I''ll send it back and get the 1.5ctw. I''m afraid that if I start with that size, I''ll always wonder what the larger one was like. I do want something that isn''t too delicate and dainty looking. I do like the 1.5ctw size on you, and I wish I could find some wrist shots of the 2ctw, but haven''t had any luck. I don''t wear much jewelry at a time either...my wedding rings, 1ctw diamond studs and a gold link bracelet daily. I wear a necklace and RHR once in a great while, and never wear a watch, except to clinicals. I do have my .57carat ACA that I''ll probably put into a basic 4 prong pendant and will become daily wear.

I won''t be purchasing until after Christmas...probably January. I''m really getting excited about this and am really leaning heavily in this direction. I just really hope it fits comfortably!

orb i mentioned up above i measured my wrist at the bone part. just measured it again bout 1/2 an inch under and it''s still 6".

the bangle is beautiful. it does turn a little during typical wear, maybe about 1/4 of the way. but i think that''s almost a function of any ''bangle'' design.
