White Gold in Engagement ring

What should I know about White gold? I am having potentially having a white gold setting made. I know it is YG mized with either Nickel, palladium, or Rhodium right?

What are the pros and cons?
I read somewhere that it will turn yellow? need to be replated?
Platinum is out of the budget
14kt vs 18kt? i know 18kt is 75% YG
will a platinum wedding ring look different next to a WG eng setting?
my gf has eczema and am worried about allergies

I would stay away from nickel, which some are allergic to and some develop allergy over time. Try to find white gold with palladium instead. Rhodium is what white gold can be dipped in to make it that chrome white and yes if you want that finish you will have to redipp it. I personally like white gold without rhodium.

You could also look into palladium rings which don't yellow and don't have the price tag of platinum.
