Just curious what people think.
I tend to assume wearing things on my non dominant wrist will lead to less damage since I interact less with the world with my left hand/wrist. But maybe my right wrist is actually less accident prone since I’m more aware of it/using it more conscientiously.

What do you guys think? And does it affect which wrist you wear your bracelets on?

I’m right dominant. I think my right hand and wrist are naturally probably safer for jewellery too, but I’ve kind of gotten used to being hyperaware of what my left side is doing when I’ve got sparklies on. The annoyance factor of wearing anything on the right is just too high for me!!

Yeah, same. Exactly this.

i'm left handed and i usually wear a watch/bracelet on my left wrist. i just like it there better for who knows what reason. these days i type 95% of the time vs writing so it doesn't make that much of a difference.

I favour my right slightly more than my left, yet my right is riddled with cuts and old scars. Left hand and arm is scar free.

I write left handed but do almost ever else with my right hand (like many lefties). I wear my watch on my right arm and flexible bracelets on my left that don't get in the way of writing and get banged up. Strange how odd a bracelet feels on the right arm!

I'm right handed and prefer to wear bracelets on my left. They get in my way and get banged too much when I wear them on the right.

I was reaching under the ............... to pull something out and the bracelet get caught and when I pulled my arm out it broke. I hardly even felt it.
Wear it on the arm that has the least chance of that happening and take it off before putting on or taking off coats sweaters or tight clothes.
That will cover 90% of the worst single action cause of breakage events.

ugh! I was lucky enough to find my bangle still in the cuff of a fleece jacket after I had taken it off. Didn't feel a thing.

Errrr good thing I've gained weight since then lol. The poor bangle doesn't stand a chance of ever sneaking off again. She lives on my non-dominant wrist.

I wear bracelets , or watch and bracelet everyday-
My dominate hand and wrist go through a lot more in a day.
I actually have bracelets that are chosen to wear on that wrist. They are pieces I know either can take more abuse or ones that I don’t mind as much if they get banged up from daily hard wear-

I haven't noticed more wear and tear on one wrist compared to another, but I work at the computer all day and use both my wrists to type. I will say that I prefer putting anything with clasps on the left wrist, since I'm right hand dominant and it's easier if I need to operate a clasp or lobster claw.

I’m right handed and prefer to wear my bracelets on my left hand as well. I am definitely more cognizant of what I do with my left hand, especially when I’m wearing a bangle.
I wore my dbty bracelet at work once and accidently pulled it when I was taking off my glove. Now it’s more like a 7.25+ inch length rather than the 7 inches it was originally. I looked at the chain to see if I messed up the clasp but it looks like the chain links are just more oval/flatter in shape. It’s a Tiffany silver bracelet with a pink stone so not that valuable but now I can’t wear it bc it’s too loose.
After that I always make sure I grab the glove and not the bracelet with it.

Being right dominant I would assume that a bracelet on my left wrist would get banged up less than one on my right, but I always always always wear bracelets on my right hand only, left is reserved for watch.

I wear bracelets 24/7 on my left wrist. I’ve developed a real “thing” for bracelets and bangles of late. I only wear on my right wrist when going out.
Its to do with the dogs.
Well mannered and unlikely to lunge Arya is walked on the left whereas crazy, excitable, pulling, leaping, spinning, rearing Mica is on the right.
Because Micas leash is literally tethered to my right wrist wearing anything there is apt to be snagged or ripped off.
And yes, my right arm is approximately 3 inches longer than my left - thanks Mica!1739EA12-BC6A-430C-9B3A-B464CD64E09D.jpeg

My right hand is my dominant hand, but I always wear bracelets on the right. For some reason I hate bracelets on my left wrist!

I’m right hand dominant so I have the potential to bang my bracelets more on that wrist. I tried moving it to the left wrist..but nope. It has to be on my right wrist. I’ll take it off if I do messy dishes..I put it right back on after I’m done.

I wear bracletes on my left because i used to always wear a watch on my right

It’s funny how much of preference is more to do with habit than anything else.

I’ve switched my pearls and jadeite to my left wrist in the hope it’ll get banged up less! My gold and diamonds live on the right wrist.
I used to wear a watch all the time but it started to drift and I’m too lazy to take it in to be serviced at omega and too neurotic to wear it knowing it’s drifting a few seconds every day.

Its weird but on me certain bracelets just feel like they must go on the left hand and others on the right hand. My pre-tennis bracelet (my cz version) absolutely must go on my left wrist, while my chain bracelets must go on my left. Why I have no idea, but my body just tells me so.
