I would ask and make sure that there are no black inclusions or feathers that are visible. I dont think someone can use a blanket statement that all
diamonds this size are eye-clean. I assume they are returnable if they dont meet your criteria?

Edit....Look at the first post in this tread. They show a 5 stone with 30 pointers. You can see how
big the stones are and if there are big enough black inclusions then you might be able to see them.

I would also be hesitant especially at SI2 clarity if you can’t see the diamonds. I don’t think what they told you is true about diamonds this size always being eye clean. Is there a reason to go so high in colour?

Ditto...if it were me, I would drop the color and go up in clarity (unless you are trying to match something on color). More middle of the road
with both of them...Like G/VS2/SI1.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm new to the diamond world and after purchasing my first small colourless SI2 diamond recently online... I was amazed at its beauty and eager to but another.

They do have a return policy but I was guessing if I got a higher colour with decent cut it could potentially "outshine" the inclusion ?

Depends on the inclusion I think. If you have a huge black blob in the middle of the diamond or if it is cloudy a high colour wouldn’t really redeem it. In this case I would prefer an eye clean G

Just for deference, looking at James Allen (I like their videos), it looks like G SI1 0.3-.39 carats cost around $540-770 each. I thought these were pretty and gives you some visual reference.

Ignoring cut...just look at the inclusions. A SI2 like this would impact performance and beauty.

This could be more pleasing as the inclusion is on the girdle and can be covered with a prong.

Didn't realise the was such as big difference between Si2 and the above clarity grades.

Thank you for the links, pics and advice.
