Hey guys, hopefully you see this thread Italia.

I need some advice for a good shampoo and conditioner. I have been using Lakme Teknia, Colour therapy, but sometimes I feel I need a bit more moisurising. I have naturally wavy hair (well curly underneath and wavy on top, just goes fuzzy when I brush it!), quite fine, coloured with blonde foils. The ends are quite dry, so I need something to get it looking healthy and keep the colour.

I am in Australia too, and I can''t find an online stockist for Lakme products. I pay $25 per bottle at my salon.

Any suggestions? Recommendations? TIA

I love Matrix Biolage; I have similar hair (minus foils), and I love it.

Keretase is great. I used the super moisturizing/repairing one (orange bottle) for a long time as I was trying to get my then over-processed hair back into shape and I loved it. The smell is fantastic too! The downside is it''s muey expensivo.

Ditto the ladies, Kerastase is excellent.

Another vote for Kerastase. I've also been a big fan of the Love line by Davines. They make one for curly hair too.

ETA: Since you have colored hair if you go with Kerastase, use the kind in the Pink Bottle, Chroma Reflect. It's for color treated hair. I'd also suggest looking into a Sulfate Free shampoo (like Alterna or Pureology). It will help keep your color longer and I have found it to be generally less drying. My only issue with sulfate free shampoos is that they don't sud up, and I feel like they don't do as good of a job removing build up from other products as my other shampoos.

Pureology made my hair really greasy and heavy. Almost like it coated it in something. I didn''t care for the smell either.

A couple of years ago I worked in a salon that carried L''Oreal Professional Series. I have to flat out admit, this is my, by far, favorite line of products I''ve ever, ever, ever used. And yes, I have worked in a Keratase salon.

It''s very similar to Keratase in the treatments...but I like the everyday products more. The shampoo''s are created for "multi" condition hair...meaning, thin but colored or curly and colored. You can find the right product for your hair in this line. I would probably suggest the Vitamino Color shampoo and conditioner combo. I used to highlight my hair, it is naturally wavy and although I have a lot--it''s finer in terms of thickness. This shampoo was amazing. It made my hair managable, soft, it felt and looked so healthy.

Now, quality products don''t come cheap. L''Oreal Professional Series is pretty exclusive...if you can find it, expect to pay about $30 USD for 8oz. I know sometimes I can locate it on Amazon, or Ebay...but I couldn''t even tell you where to find it locally.

The great thing about the more expensive brands, like LPS or Keratase, is that they aren''t about "disgusing a problem" their products really do work to fix people''s hair issues. Brands like Redken, Matrix, Paul Mitchell, Aveda they are they are styling lines or finishing lines they create a managable look and easy solution to hide problems you may have...your upscale brands are so into the chemistry and blending the right elements, that you really are getting treatment for your money with every use.

Has anyone tried the Arbonne hair products? I just got suckered into buying some from my mom''s best friend. I''ve only been using it for a short amount of time but really like it so far. They pride themselves on the fact that their products are all natural and "really do the job they are supposed to do". I was wondering if anyone knows anything about them or has any experience with them??

I have both the shampoo and conditioner, although I only use conditioner once in a while b/c I have a lot of hair but it is very fine and conditioner always makes it look greasy. I have the kind of hair that HAS to be washed every single morning. I could shower and blow dry at 10pm, wake up at 7am and my hair will look greasy. I also find that I need to alternate shampoos b/c my hair stops performing after awhile if I use the same shampoo over and over. Volumizing shampoo has been my key to avoiding the greasy hair look and the Arbonne products seem to really work well for me.

My mom and brother use the Arbonne self-adjusting shampoo and conditioner and really like it. They discontinued it though, so mom bought a few bottles to keep in the closet.

Italia-thanks for the info. Like I said, I found it to work amazingly well on my hair, it really turned my damage around. Now that my hair is grown back to natural (with only about 1/2 a dozen foils), I''m abusing it again with head and shoulders and pantene conditioner...I know, I''m bad....

Thankyou thankyou thankyou ladies! I really appreciate the feedback! I have been using the Lakme for only a few days now and my hair is even worse, it''s so dry! I was planning on getting some new stuff on the weekend, and I will definately have a look at the Kerastase line!

Thanks Italia for popping by again to save my hair woes! I finally got the colour right, now I just want to look after it. I had my hair cut at another salon a few weeks ago and they suggested Loreal Professional, but I was worried it was just going to be ''supermarket stuff'' with a higher price tag, and the loreal products are sold in supermarkets, but no, the professional stuff is only available from salons I believe. Your hair sounds super similar to mine, I find it hard to find a product that nourishes wavy/curly hair, looks after the colour but also doesn''t weigh fine hair down.

We have a few salon brand warehouse type shops here, so I will head down on Sunday and check them out. FI is going to the snow again (can''t understand how hurtling down a mountain on a snowboard can be so expensive, but anyhoo) I can splurge on me too then!

Thanks again ladies! What would I do without my fellow PSers?!

Honey, I have just started using delorenzo and my hair has never been better!

I have bleached blonde hair and I use their purple shampoo and a leave in treatment as a conditioner. One of my best friends is a hairdresser and I have just started going to her salon, they use these products and I can''t rave about them enough
