Split prongs but only if they are really tiny.
split... but I have a Q - what is the in person transition like at the edge of the last stone where it meets the shank? Is it curved or does it just drop off?Date: 6/20/2007 11:28:20 PM

Irina did these two mock ups of the setting I''m getting. Which prongs do you like better for a 6 x 6 asscher.
A) Single Talon Prongs (ala Turtle''s setting)

Or
B) Split prongs

I actually agree with Deco. I love split prongs..those are my fave, but somehow the other ones work better for me with that design.Date: 6/20/2007 11:55:45 PM

Hmmmm. I actually dislike the split prongs in the context of that design. Harry Winston solitare: yes. Leon three stone: yes. That one: no.
Maybe it''s because the side bezels form ''boxes'' ... and I feel like the center stone should maintain it''s own ''box'' ... and NOT add unnecessary distracting busyness to the corners. The single clawish prongs seem more tranquil ... fluid ... boxy ... deco.
oh I''m sorry - for some reason I thought you''d seen it, I must not have read closely in my excitement for you LOLDate: 6/21/2007 1:21:25 AM
