I was going to purchase a different princess but something came up and well its back to the drawing board. I have found these 2 and I think they are very nice, please let me know any thoughts suggestions concerns, or anything of the sort. Thanks!!

FYI This is going to be set in a 18k White Gold "Inara Pave" Diamond Engagement Ring for Princess Cut Diamonds by Vatche.

I personally would go with the G VS2. That picture doesnt look like a very good picture...they usually show up much
prettier than that pic. I would call GOG and ask them too look at both of them and to talk you through them.
They should be very similar. I would not want to pay more for the VS1 and would go with the cheaper one.

I like the VS1. The price difference is only $300 so it's kinda splittin hairs at this point. If the difference was $1k, then I'd say go with the VS2... I don't think you can go wrong with either..

I'll attempt to answer that, kind sir.

I would say ACA is WF's signature line; ACA diamonds are selected based on certain criteria (i.e. angles, symmetry, and how they perform optically); they have to make their top grade. They're usually AGS graded stones that are super ideal.

A Solasfera diamond is ... I think* ... an actual branded, particular cut of stone. It has different facet designs and IIRC 10 H&A as opposed to the traditional 8 (for rounds).. I'm sure if I am wrong or missing something then someone will add or correct me.

I'd say, if you look at the ASET of both stones, they perform pretty similarly...although the SF diamond appears to have a little more red in each quadrant. The ACA stone seems to have very little leakage to it, which is probably why it sits at the ACA class. I think either 3 you have chosen are quite nice based off the pics!

EDIT: I forgot this VS2 ASET. My apologizes, all this time, I thought this particular ASET belonged to the VS1 stone. To me, this has the most red...perhaps from the 45% table (vs the 60% in the other SF)???

which one will be "the one" :p They are all similar in size, clarity, and ASET, the ACA is a little better in color. Prices are about 400$ in diff so not to big of a deal.. flip a coin and decide do you think? I am fine with either going to GOG or WF as both seem to be very good companies.. just need to decide which one. Also thanks for posting the ASETS!

Ahhhh!!! I wouldn't know either. I've been there, done that with narrowing stones down to a few and it stresses me out! I'm stressed for you. Perhaps see what you like for each stone, what you don't like and go on from there??? :errrr:

Does either WF or GOG have the setting you want? It's easier to get the whole thing from one vendor if possible, avoids the hassles of insuring the loose stone for shipping and setting, liability, extra outside-stone setting fees...

Of the two GOGs I like the 0.85 G VS2 better - I don't like paying more for clarity my eyes can't appreciate, assuming the VS2 is clean to your specifications (tell GOG what you want - clean from 5"? sides as well? and have them vet it). I also like the tiny table - that's one of the hallmarks of the Solasfera princess brand IMO, tiny table and high crown :sun: There's nothing at all objectively wrong or less-appealing about a larger table though, all three will be sparklers!

The ASET of the other stones looks better - all that green in the middle - eeek! Green is weaker light - you want more red. Blue is contrast.

any other thoughts on the 4 diamonds?

Go with the .85 G Yssie ok'd at GOG - easier since you're getting it set into a Vatche - GOG carries them!

GOG and WF carry Vatche and GOG said they would price match the WF price for the setting. The last WF stone I posted with setting will be around 6000, if I go with the .85 from GOG w setting I will be paying about 5300ish. I under stand the diamond is a little smaller, and the fluorescence is medium but I honestly do not think it will be that big of a deal, tho my from my udnerstanding it may make the diamond look blue? Will the dimensions in the diamonds be a noticable diff?
