Just a brief background, I am from Singapore, searching for a heart shaped diamond for an engagement ring.
I have went around searching for the stone and found that the prices here locally are quite expensive(quoted USD2000 for a 0.43 carat with settings) compared to Bluenile thus my search went online. But as bluenile does not provide the actual picture of the diamond, I am now skeptical about buying directly from them.
Any online vendor to purchase heart shaped diamonds from? Tried JA but very limited diamonds~
And yes, my gf specifically hinted that she would love a heart shaped diamond ring. I tried to talk her out of it but she just seems bent on getting one in that shape.
For the specs I am looking for:
Size: 0.5 to 0.6 carat? Her finger size is really small (US size 3.5~4), my pinky size
Color: Minimum G (I was told that I need a better color due to the shape)
L/W Ratio: +/-0.90 (she likes a "cuter" heart, not that thin)
My budget is around USD 1,800 for just the stone.
I have already a private jeweler who could make the setting for me but he is slightly reluctant to take in heart shaped diamonds for me as he does not sell fancy shaped diamonds.
Any diamonds to reccomend?

yeah, my price actually is based on what I see online but guess I will give GOG an email to see what could be done and what kind of price I should base it on. Seems like most vendors have really few heart diamonds.
