Hey guys, my GF said the Round or Princess both GOOD. I find one of each, they are similar price, both betweem 15K and 16K, but I am not sure which looks larger? Can you help me?

Round: 1.721 H VS2 7.68mm
Princess: 1.8 F VS1 6.75 X 6.62mm

I understand 7.68mm is larger than 6.75mm, but I think 7.68mm is the diameter of the round piece, which 6.75 and 6.62 are length and width. I don''t know should I compare the diameter of the princess cut with the round or what should I do?

Ditto, if you can post the details for each off the grading reports and any images you have, then we can get a better idea.

When comparing the same carat weights, a round will always be larger then a princess in mm size. As far as the finished look, to me it really depends on how you set it. Do you have a setting picked out?

The math behind the round facing up larger:

Round
Diameter of 7.68 = Radius of 3.84
Radius Squared = 14.75
Surface Area of [Radius Squared * 3.14]= 46.3


Princess
Length of 6.75
Width of 6.62
Surface Area of [Length & Width] = 44.7

You should be able to use those formulas to compare the relative sizes of stones you''re looking at.
