Hey,

First I would like to thank everyone''s that has been helping me with the diamond search process. You guys have been awesome.

I think I found 2 diamonds where I will be picking the final one but would like to get your opinion on which one you would prefer.

Both got an excellent on the cut advisor. The first one is eye clean and still have not heard back about the 2nd one.

Both have great potential but let us know whether the second is in fact eyeclean and ask for an Idealscope image for the second stone.

Would an upgrade policy ever be an option for you? If so you might want to read the terms and conditions of each vendor carefully and factor that into your decision.

I think we will be keeping this diamond forever and just add to the ring if we upgrade. Still an option. I know WF has a lifetime upgrade and JA does for a diamond 2x in value. Thanks Lorelei, good to know that for JA it''s a 2x value. Wouldn''t have looked it up if you didn''t mention it.

I''m still waiting for the image and information whether or not the JA stone is eye clean. I like the WF stone a little better along with the quick customer service I have received from WF. While we wait for the image, what is your opinion about the WF stone? It has potential but what will make it a great stone? The HCA advisor gave it a .5 (JA is .6). Is $14.5 a reasonable price for the stone and setting?

Finally got the idealscope images for the 2nd diamond.

Are these idealscopes from the same diamond?

akim, I think WF''s upgrade policy applies to ACA and "selected" ES. I don''t see why they wouldn''t for that stone, but I would definitely double-check before purchasing.

Really nothing wrong with either of them... although the JA one is showing "no longer available" when I just went to look

JA will put the stone on hold when someone requested for an Idealscope image, thus making it no longer available.

Also, ditto the above, the IS is for which stones?

Paul-Antwerp: The idealscope images are of the same diamond from JA.

Tonyc2387 & Lorelei: It is showing now longer available because it is on hold for me for the next 24 hours. And as far as the policy goes, you are correct. I skimmed through the policy and missed that part at the end. Thanks for pointing that out to me!

Would it be better for me to post all of the info for the 2 stones? I just thought it would be better if I sent the links. All of the images are provided on the WF link.

But as far as the 2 diamonds stats and images, which would you prefer? The WF is about a little over $1k more than the JA. I need to make a decision really soon and I would love to hear your inputs about these 2. People have said that they might have potential but that kind of makes me feel negative about them. Thanks in advance!

Looks good then.

Kim,

Those images are not of the same diamond. I don't know the specifics of your request, but if I check the properties of the first image the name is 1266630.jpg. This leads me to believe that Idealscope is for diamond 1266630 - a very similar (but distinct) 1.76ct G-SI1. The second image matches the link at the top of the thread.

Did you request images on two diamonds?

Wow I just realized that. I''m swamped at work while trying to post on the forums. I apologize to everyone for all the confusion. I am just going to start a fresh post with a more clear entry. Thanks
