This is everybody's guess... most stones (bar shops' inventories) are acessible to any seller. With a half carat idea in mind and a nicely done custom setting, I'd probably think of Wink's. There are quite a few smaller ideals in his domain and at least one ring of about the same size came out perfctly out of his shop lately (LINK). Just a random vote, really
And then... White Flash has these very nice solitaire settings...
What seller fits the best depends alot on what exactly you are after - and that I can't know for sure.

If you can pick a diamond by the numbers, and you don't feel the need to have testing and pictures done, I think dirtcheap diamonds is a great choice. They tend to have the lowest price online, and they offer a smooth, easy transaction with terrific customer service. Their web site is great, and easy to use, and they organize the diamonds by the quality of the cut... If you want to see the diamond before buying it, you can have it sent to a local appraiser for a small fee. If not, and you buy the diamond and it turns out not to be right, they have a no hastle return policy.
If you need pictures and reports, Good Old Gold is great too, however, the prices will usually be a bit higher...
Good luck in your search.
I appreciate the kind words cushion. {Edited>>} When comparing prices, one have to compare products and services {<<Edited} apples for apples.

Rhino, I think your comment of matching prices and services was inappropriate for this site. We should all focus on unbiased opinions rather than adverting or bettering your competition on this site. I still respect you for your opionions and I think you have GREAT products.
