I wear mine on my left hand but I have 2 friends who wear their wedding bands on their left hands and then moved their e-rings over to their right hand. They are both Jewish and I was wondering if this is a religious custom or just a preference?
I''m Jewish and I wear both my engagement ring and wedding band on my left hand, so I don''t think it''s a religious custom. It''s more of a preference.
I wear it on my left hand. My right hand is at least a 1/2 size larger than my left. My ring is sized to fit and not spin and it''s too small for my right hand.
I wear my wedding and engagement rings stacked on my left hand.
Recently, I saw a group of East Indian women at a winery and they were all wearing their sets stacked on the left, but with the wedding band on the outside. I''ve seen that before of course, many people wear their rings that way, I was just surprised to see an entire group all doing it that same way. Made me wonder if that was a cultural thing, as well.
Musey, I''ve seen women wear their wedding bands on top of their engagement rings, too. I tried it with mine once, just to see how it looked, but I moved it back. I wear my wedding band and engagement ring on my left hand. My wedding band has a slight curve to it, and it looks kind of funny if I wear it on my own unless I spin it around so the curve faces my palm.
My sil did that. A big channel set diamond wedding band on her left hand, and a big 2ct diamond solitaire on the right hand. She didn''t get an e-ring before they married. I guess they lived together a number of years and just decided to tie tie the knot one day. She received the solitaire as an anniversary gift for 15 or 20 years or something.
I wear mine on the left. My wedding band is an insert ring, so kind of difficult to wear without the ering. And I''m a lefty as well, but I kind of like that I can are it whenever I use my hand! However, I had a professor in college who was very Greek and said she wore hers on he right as it was custom in the culture. Maybe some Greek people on here could tell me that''s wrong, but its just what she had said.
I wear my e-ring on my left hand and I''ll wear my w-band the same way. But my mom wears hers on her right and she tells me all the time that I''m wearing mine wrong!
my e-ring is also my wedding ring, but even if I had 1 of each I would wear them both on the right.
the reason for this is that I am Dutch, and we wear wedding bands on the left hand ONLY if you are married in the Catholic church. everyone else wears on the right. my husband is South African and for him it is traditional to wear his band on the left. so to each their own.
