GF lives abroad and am considering shopping for "the" ring when I''m visiting her since I''ve not had much luck locating a setting here that we like. I have an idea of the diamond characteristics I''m looking for, but how common are GIA or other reports/grading abroad?
She went into one place and was able to get the color and clarity, but I didn''t have her ask if reports were available. The country in question is Colombia. I''m just wondering if I''m going to be depending on jewelers own assessments of the stones or if they will have been independantly graded.
