Hi. I am looking to purchase 5 stone for my future project on 5 stone ring.

Here are the choices:
A) 3.96mm, 4.04mm, 4.21mm, 4.02mm, 3.95mm (total diameter of 20.18mm) = $2032.15

B) 4.21mm, 4.31mm, 4.32mm, 4.31mm, 4.27mm (total diameter of 21.42mm) = $2711.15

Selection B increase the price by quite a lot $679 for the differences in diameter of 1.24mm only.

What do you guys think?

Does selection A have enough presences?

Should i save the price differences for the setting in platinum?

This is the BGD H&A diamond btw.

Thanks a lot in advance :)

i like a slight graduation (obviously lol) and i like a cheaper price so id pick that. OR, id use the extra 700 and get a larger center stone to accentuate the graduation.

Yes niel. Your ring definitely inspire me that graduated stone also look nice.

But I'm thinking which setting whether trellis, u prong or nightingale so maybe this
Extra fund can be put into the nicer setting in platinum ;p

What size ring will it be? I would definitely choose platinum, but finger size will influence my choice.

for now, as i am still pregnant, i measure to give it a looser feel, will be size 7. But i am buying the diamond first and wait till after give birth and slim down to know what finger size for sure. As i am planning to wear it as my RHR. My left hand ring size is 5.5 only which is quite a big differences from my right hand.

Can you measure the width of your size 5.5 and 7 fingers? That will give you a better idea of which selection can cover end to end depending on curvature of setting.

I tried to measure it with the measuring tape and found out the curve finger coverage measurement from middle finger to pinky will be around 20mm. So does that mean the stone coverage for 20.18mm should be enough?
