Hello all, first I would like to thank you all for the information I''ve found on this site it has been very helpful. So far I''ve narrowed my search to these four diamonds. I''m want the most sparkle possible as well as have Arrows. If anyone could give me their suggestions on these it would be much appreciated:

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/3290/

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/3569/

http://www.bluenile.com/diamonds_details.asp?__fun_frm=i&track=view_details_btn&elem=img&pid=LD01178009&filter_id=0

http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-358379.htm#

PS my budget is around 5000
Thank you

From my understanding, all diamonds have arrows. It''s whether or not the line up in a way that can be considered Hearts and arrows. If you are looking for a hearts and arrows diamond, pick one of those from Good old Gold. I''d take the GOG 1.01 because it has a bigger spread than the .9

Personally, I would stay with GOG or WhiteFlash. Best value that I can see price wise is the WhiteFlash especially if you use the 5% discount. Pay by bank wire and tell them you are PS member.

Also, both companies have great upgrade policies. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with either company.

I got my 3 ACAs from WhiteFlash and I could not be happier!!!!

Good Luck and share your pictures when you get your ring

Heraanderson is right. All of them have arrows. The (potential) difference is whether or not they exhibit high symmetry, definition of (true) h&a beling left to evaluators.

I would exclude the bluenile. You can get h&a in their in-house signature ideal diamonds. In ideals, it is not guaranteed and is not very likely (my experience). This is not to say ideals are not good, some come with AGS0 grading with light performance, but SIs are safer if h&a is important to you. Bluenile has nice diamonds in their SI offerings, but provide less information and trade-up policy. If you are sure you will not upgrade in the future, BN can certainly be an option. But I would suggest to get one of their SIs.

I would ask WF the reason why this diamond does not make ACA and whether or not the difference can be human observable. I would probably look for some in ACA lines that come with WF gurantee. I also do not particularly like this weight - 1.00 ct. I am not sure how likely, but if it gets chipped and repolished, it can lose much more value than nomarlly expected.

Between the two from GOG. It depends on what you want. Color (H / I) and size (1.015 / 0.92). The light performance as well as apperance are very likely similar. But you may see difference in color. You will see the difference in size.

Actually, the 5% discount is only for ACA's. This stone would get a discount in the 2% range.

I'd also choose between the Good Old Gold and WhiteFlash stones. I personally prefer H color, but it would be hard not to go with a 1 ct. stone.

Can an insuance pay for the difference in marker value. Or can it pay for another 1ct diamond with equivalent quality? I did think about them. I was once told by a jeweler about this thing. But you are probably right. Thanks for the correction.

Depends on the policy. Some will replace the stone with similar specs, some will give you money. I have heard of some requesting the chipped stone back so they can repolish etc. and sell it. Insurance is a must. A lot of people here have gone with CHUBB or Jewelers Mutual and are very happy. If you do a search on here, you can find out what people had to say about them.

I do have one. I got JM before the diamond was set. They are very nice&fast. I was just unware that an insurance would work in this case in such a way a consumer wants - the policy.

If you call them you can find out for sure but I think JM does replace. I know for myself, I would want my insurance to replace my diamond in case of chipping.

So basically their light performance would all be similar?

So basically their light performance would all be the same? thanks so far

The only two that we are sure get AGS0 light performance are the two Good Old Gold stones.

The Good old Golds and the Whiteflash look good. The Blue Nile one registers a 3.5 on Holloway Cut adviser so I wouldn't select that one.

Thanks all!!!
