Where to get a nice diamond cross NOW!

Well I waited too long to get that eternity ring and now I do not have anything. I also was thinking about getting her a nice 1ct or so diamond cross which I know she will love. I saw some at Macy''s and Jared''s but the quality in Macy''s was d color but I2. It was sparkley but had 2 dead looking stones. Jareds had one that was similar and one that was certified(?) but 5/8ct for $1200. Seemed like alot for a small piece. So now I am frantically looking for something to get here for xmas eve. Any experts out there can point me to somewhere nice? I''m looking for a basic shared prong round cut cross. Thanks !! John

I think they''ll overnight it for you. I''ll just say that the .5 one is very similar to the smaller Tiffany one which I love. I would be a little uncomfortable with a super blingy cross, personally. Just wanted to mention that idea, although you know your wife and her preferences hopefully!

But that one is I SI2 with unknown cut as opposed to the Facets ones at premium to ideal cut and F-G VS. I think the Facets ones are so much better quality.

Yes I agree that the Facets is very nice. I like the opportunity to get alittle better quality but it is also very expensive compared to even the blue nile and was more than even the Jareds. Decisions, decisions............

Pulled the trigger on the Facets!!! I think she''s going to love it. The quality is really what made the difference for me. I believe have a great reputation for quality goods and that really is what I wanted. I saw alot of H/I, sI1/2,I1-I2 out there that just wasn''t worth 1/2 of what they were asking. All the regrets over jewelry that I have had in my life generally involve settling for lower quality. If I had to do it all over again, I''d have fewer things at the best quality. And in fact, now I just won''t buy something with diamonds unless it is really excellent quality. After all, jewelry has the potential to become heirlooms someday if you have children or grandchildren.

Aside from Tiffany, where you pay a large premium for the name, I''d say Facets is probably the best place to get an eternity ring with nice quality stones without greatly overpaying. Memoire is a very fine brand, but you will find they are more than the Facets ones. However, they are certainly worth considering as well. Those are usually sold at local fine jewelers.

I have 2 Facets eternity bands 1.06ct each, love ''em. Great quality ad super service.

Facets also made my diamond hoops, again, the quality is there and their service was really good.
