Where to get a fair price??????

My mom is thinking about selling her pear diamond ring. Where is the best place to get a fair price for it? She says it is 1.5-2 carats, she doesn't know the color, but she said it has a visible inclusion. It is set in an e-ring with bagettes and small diamonds. It was appraised for $16,000 (at least 10 years ago). She said she also has the original setting that just had one bagette on each side and it was platinum.

Any help would be greatly appreicated. We don't even really know where to start.
